Wedding Nanny Soft Play and Chaperone is a unique and special Wedding and event business based in Shrewsbury, in the Shropshire region of England. It offers childcare and adult care/chaperone services.
With 20 years of experience in the childcare sector and 10 years in the care of adults with a range of health conditions and disabilities, I have acquired a strong set of skills that allow me to do my job with ease.
My name is Kellie, I am 39 years old. I have a great balance of life experience and professional experience that ensures I am skilled and capable even under pressure. Not much will phase me, I have seen it all, and make no judgements. You can be completely yourselves.
I am a natural with children and will be loved by all on your big day. I am a mother myself which I hope is reassuring to you while making this big decision.
I gather lots of information from you, including about your parenting style, so that I can adjust my approach in a way that compliments your own preferences. I am calm, respectful, and responsive and will follow ques from children and parents.
To entertain the youngest guests, you can hire a soft play set and/or bouncy castle (optional, extra charges apply)

My small amazing team and I can work together for those weddings requiring several Nannie’s, and you have peace of mind that if I am unavailable for whatever reason I’ll have the perfect nanny ready to take my place.

Here are a few things I can assist with on the day, although I am highly experienced at transferring my skills to a range of individual and specific requirements:
• One-to-one care for your child or shared care as you prefer.
•Small groups of children - sole charge or shared care.
•Discreet hands-off care - only stepping in as required OR fully present and immersed in the day - I can blend in as if I’m a guest; it’s up to you how you would like me to approach the day.
•Companionship or a chaperone for your loved one, young person, elderly or disabled guest; they may or may not require care but would benefit from a ‘go to’ person or friend to be with them during the getting ready/transportation/evening/night/following morning etc.
•I can set up a fun base/area for children to drop in and out of, like a crèche, with soft play, a bouncy castle, toys, and games—lots of options!
•At ‘adult only’ weddings, I can care for children away from the wedding, within the hotel/accommodation/other area on-site/at home, etc.
•Blended approach—Do you have an elderly guest and a baby/child, but you wish you had someone to help support both of them at varying times, but perhaps not for the whole time? I only have one pair of hands, but I’m open-minded about what I can help with; I can go with the flow and redirect my attention to those who need support or follow a planned schedule if required.

Best Decision of our wedding
We cannot recommend Kellie highly enough! From our very first warm-up sessions, she built such a lovely relationship with our son and immediately put us at ease. Seeing how comfortable and happy he was with her before the wedding gave us complete confidence that he was in the best hands.
On the day itself, she blended seamlessly into our celebrations, allowing us to fully enjoy both our church ceremony and evening reception without any stress or worry. She kept our little boy happy, engaged, and entertained throughout the day, while also mingling naturally with our guests and fitting effortlessly into the occasion.
When our son joined us for his meal, she was still on hand to offer support—not only to us, but even to another parent who needed a helping hand. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
Knowing our son was so well cared for allowed us to be fully present for every special moment of our wedding day.

Best decision ever!
One of our favourite memories from the day was having our little boy join us for part of our first dance. Kellie made that moment happen seamlessly, bringing him over at just the right time and helping create a memory that we’ll cherish forever. It was such a special part of our day, and we’re so grateful for her thoughtfulness and support.
Having Kellie there allowed us to fully relax and enjoy every moment of our wedding, knowing our son was safe, happy, and having just as much fun as we were. She went above and beyond throughout the day, and her calm, caring nature made such a difference.

BEST wedding nanny I could have asked for
Kellie I honesty cannot thank you enough, you came and had such a relaxing aura around you that you managed to calm me down at the last minute stressful moments because I knew you were watching out for my daughters during bridal preparation and moving rooms etc. Seren can be a little fussy settling with new people but she took to you straight away, all of the children who attended took to you so well and you were amazing throughout the entire day and evening. SO glad I persisted and booked you, family were able to relax, we were able to relax and our daughters were still very much part of our day yet occupied throughout with you also.
Communication on the booking process, the telephone call, you finding out more info on my daughters, then turning up and being absolutely amazing!!! Could not have wished for better.
Kellie even managed to get our two year old daughter to walk down the aisle taking her time, the video shown below just proves how comforted our little girl was with Kellie a couple of hours in from meeting her!
One of the best purchases I made whilst wedding planning was booking you and the soft play. We loved you, the little ones loved you and you were just phenomenal. The amount of comments I’ve had since saying how brilliant you were is great! Hopefully you’ll have some recommendations for future events now too!

Absolutely amazing wedding nanny!!
She kept everything running smoothly — from feeding and nap times to entertaining and keeping him happy during photos. She even thought of little things we hadn’t, which showed how experienced she is with weddings and children alike.
So many guests commented on how lovely she was, and we honestly couldn’t have managed the day without her. If you’re getting married and wondering whether to hire a wedding nanny — do it, and make sure it’s Kellie! She’s incredible. 💕
