Planning a destination wedding in Italy while living in the U.S. could have been overwhelming, but Sofy made the entire process effortless and enjoyable from start to finish. She was incredibly attentive, organized, and always available — communicating with her through WhatsApp and Zoom was so easy and reassuring.

Every single vendor she recommended was amazing to work with. The food, the music, the décor — everything exceeded our expectations. We didn’t even travel to Italy beforehand to do tastings or site visits because of our busy schedules, yet everything turned out absolutely perfect! Sofy even came up with a thoughtful and creative wedding gift for our guests that everyone adored.

Our family and friends couldn’t stop raving about Sofy — they were so impressed by her warmth, professionalism, and how smoothly everything ran. She even arranged rides for guests who weren’t used to traveling abroad, making sure everyone felt comfortable and cared for.

Where do I even start? Sofia is one of the most amazing, organised people I have ever come across and I would pay for her 10 times over if it meant the everyday would go as smoothly as our wedding did. As someone who plans (not events admittedly) on a daily basis for work, I knew what would be required and knew I would struggle doing it on top of work.

Sofia was with us from the very beginning and as a couple who live abroad, having a line of communication to Italy and its venues/vendors was a real advantage. Sofia communicated with all vendors and helped us find a venue, even whittling it down to 3 to view when we visited in October 2024 and attending every viewing with us to ensure the language barrier was not an issue and we were aware of everything we needed and could ask questions.

Leading up to the day I'll admit to being quite laid back, not obsessing over every detail, flower or colour involved but Sofia just knew what was right and wasn't afraid to speak her ideas (which were brilliant more often than not). She kept me calm and at no point did I feel overwhelmed with the planning process knowing she had my back and was working away in the background to create the most beautiful day for us both. She attended on the day (with her assistant) and handled everything so I wasn't asked a single question which was great it meant I really could just enjoy the day, she organised the staff, the vendors and the guests to ensure I only had to get ready and enjoy the day, isn't that all the bride should have to do after all?

She kept us within budget and never pressured us to go over, used vendors and choices that reflected what we needed and could afford and told vendors when something seemed unreasonable which was so appreciated.

Overall I'd say we spent about 15-20% of our final budget on the 'Wedding planner' element but if you want an easy life, trust me, it will be the best bit of money you spend to avoid the stress and enable you to sit back and enjoy your day. For that, Sofia would be my first recommendation to anyone.

Sofy and Max from start to finish were fantastic and helped make our wedding the most magical day! From the start they were incredibly attentive and thorough, with regular long calls to answer any questions and run through logistics for the day. Sofy took over liasing with the venue, vendors and caterers and took all of the stress around the buildup away from us. Throughout the weekend she organised complex transfer requirements for our 100 guest wedding across three hotels, every day of the wedding weekend she was there early and left late, answering any questions we had and made sure everything looked beautiful and ran exactly as we wanted. We could not reccomend sofy and max more, and we will heartily reccomend them for anyone considering their services!

From start to finish Sofia was incredible. She kept in constant contact with us, always checking in with calls and messages, and came along to venue tours and food tastings & engagement shoot. She ran our welcome party and then put in a huge shift on the wedding day itself, working all day and night to make sure everything went perfectly (I think 15 hours!). We never had to worry about a thing.

She also saved us money by knowing the right suppliers and getting us great deals, which made her even more valuable. Honestly, we really couldn’t have done this ourselves. As the groom I wasn’t the main decision maker, but my wife can find decisions tough at times. Sofia was brilliant at giving advice and steering us in the right direction without ever taking over, and she made sure everything was decided and sorted when it needed to be.

The biggest thing for me is how relaxed we both were. So many couples say they didn’t enjoy their own wedding because of stress. Thanks to Sofia the lead up to the wedding was a breeze and we had the best day of our lives and didn’t have to lift a finger.

We spoke to some of the bigger planners before choosing her, but Sofia put them all to shame. She genuinely cared, gave us her full attention, and by the end she felt like a friend as well as our planner. Her services are very reasonably priced given the amount she puts in!

I never write reviews but I’ve made this account to do it because she really deserves it. If you’re on the fence about booking her, don’t be. We honestly would recommend her to anyone.

I’m not sure this review will do justice to how grateful we are to Sofia and her whole team for how amazing they handled every part of our wedding from start to finish - I could not recommend her enough as a wedding planner!

From first hire where I was overwhelmed with choices and decision fatigue Sofia found us our venue and all our perfect vendors within a couple of weeks. She handled everything so seamlessly I never once worried about things being organised or any issues as I was confident they would be handled.

She was always there for us throughout the whole wedding journey any time, to offer advice or comfort.

We had a lot of hiccups getting to our day (UK side out of their control) and on the day, but Sofia made it so I could relax and she handled absolutely everything to make sure it was perfect.

I enjoyed my wedding day so much, never had to think about anything other than enjoying it as I knew Sofia had everything in hand.

Our wedding wouldn’t have happened without her, the services are worth every single penny.

We felt all the stress was taken out of planning a wedding in Italy. Not speaking (much!) Italian ourselves, Sofy being so positive, friendly and experienced in the industry made it all feel so seamless. No question or task was too much, and she always made time for us. We genuinely cannot recommend Light and Dreams photography and videography services more! Their service was everything we could have wished for and so much more.

We had initially found the search for a photographer and videographer quite challenging as we knew exactly what we wanted but couldn’t quite find it. As soon as we found Light and Dreams the search was over!

We knew we wanted to use a local Italian based company so it was great to find Max and Sophia who were local to the venue but also spoke incredible English, which helped us to navigate the challenges of getting married in a different country. Not only were they amazing when it came to our film and photography planning but they also made sure we had everything else related to wedding sorted and offered lots of hints and tips and recommended things to consider - this was hugely helpful, especially as we didn’t have a wedding planner.

The photo and film style was exactly what we wanted - bright, colourful and capturing the emotion of the day perfectly. This combined with the fact they offered two photographers (to capture different angles) and the videography meant the package was perfect for us.

They made us feel at ease throughout the planning process and then they were incredible at the wedding too. Not only did they capture our day, our relationship and our friends and family so perfectly but they also helped to make sure the day ran smoothly. There were many occasions where Sophia stepped in to make sure things were going to plan and we are so grateful for that. They fit in with the wedding guests so seamlessly as well, everyone loved them and said how great they were. You spend more time with your photographers than anyone else in the day so this relationship is so important to have!

And of course most importantly we ABSOLUTELY LOVE the output. We cannot stop watching our wedding film and the photos are so amazing. All our friends and family love them too! Our one recommendation is not to try and save money on your videography and photography - it’s so important to be left with content you love and will treasure forever!

The whole process of working with Max and Sophia was so much fun - we have loved getting to know them and genuinely treasure their presence throughout our wedding journey and now in our lives 😃
