Boss Lady Events operating out of Wolverhampton, West Midlands, is a wedding planning business led by expert wedding planner Daksha. Daksha has been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, and today, she uses her expertise to help couples organise their nuptial celebrations. She has quite the eye for event décor and design, which shows with her 2024 Wedding Planner of the Year and International Wedding Planner of the Year awards. Daksha has mastered the art of building relationships by taking on a limited number of events each year, allowing her to build detailed plans for every client.
Services Offered: In our experience most clients enjoy starting their wedding planning journey brainstorming a few ideas with family and friends of how they’d like their event to look and feel. Quite often, and sometimes very quickly learning about the likes and dislikes, the desired, and the non-negotiables.
Boss Lady Events brings years of experience in event planning, décor and design. We appreciate every client event is different and hence we work with you, fusing our ideas, to design, plan and execute your dream wedding.
Initial consultation call:
During our initial no obligation consultation call, we will discuss your ideas and expectations, consider a few options based on your thoughts and offer you one of two bespoke options.
Partial planning and on the day coordination:
This service is for clients who would like to, or have already planned some elements of their day, have procured some vendors, but not all, and have now decided they'd like some support. This service begins 6 weeks prior to your event date, subject to availability.
- Regular communication
- Assistance with final event design and styling to ensure logistical viability
- Review current vendor contracts to ensure no undesired eventualities
- Assistance with procuring remaining vendors including contract review
- Liaising with all key vendors prior to and including the event date
- Planned site visit with key vendors
- Detailed itineraries, vendor lists and floor plans
- Full plan execution and vendor management on the day of the event
- We are present from the first vendor arriving to the last guest leaving
Full planning and on the day coordination:
This service is for those clients who know at the beginning of their journey they'd like assistance in all aspects of their wedding planning journey. From finding venues and/or procuring vendors. Everything you need to plan your dream wedding as soon as you are engaged.

Review of Daksha
From the outset, Daksha was incredibly kind, patient and organised. She took the time to get to know us and our families, speaking with both sides and understanding the different things that were important to everyone. In those early months, she helped us navigate suppliers and gradually started bringing together the structure of the wedding, while also guiding us through practical details we would probably never have thought of ourselves — from table arrangements and timings to photo lists and the many smaller things that need to come together.
As we got closer to the wedding, this was where we found Daksha particularly invaluable. She took over much of the communication with our key suppliers, made sure everyone was working from the same plan and kept us updated as things progressed. She was also very good at navigating some of the inevitable family dynamics that come with organising a large wedding, always handling things calmly and sensitively. No request ever seemed too much, including the many last-minute changes and questions that inevitably appeared in the final few weeks.
On the wedding day itself, everything ran like clockwork. More importantly, Nisha and I were able to simply enjoy the day without having to think about timings, suppliers or what needed to happen next. We knew Daksha and her team had everything under control. A number of our guests and family members commented afterwards on how smoothly the day had run and how well organised everything had been.
There are so many moving parts involved in planning a wedding, particularly when there are lots of suppliers, guests and family members involved, and having someone you trust to quietly keep everything moving makes an enormous difference. Daksha was a very important part of making our wedding the day we had hoped for, and we are extremely grateful to her and her team for everything they did for us. We would happily recommend her to anyone planning their wedding.
A super wedding
Excellent service and value for money. Very responsive and invested in getting the best possible outcome.
On the day of the event, she ran a tight ship without being overbearing. Everything was on time and there no mishap to speak of. The guests were very satisfied and things turned out even better than we expected.
This was the first wedding we have had a direct hand in organising, and we had nearly 400 guests. I’m sure we would have had plenty of chaos without Daksha’s help!

I'd also like to say thanks for the support you gave to my parents during the process as well. It was a massive help to take some stress off them, and for them to know they could lean on you to support with anything.

Absolutely outstanding- Daksha is the besr weddinf planner
Throughout the entire wedding process Daksha was outstanding: composed, diligent, visionary, supportive, kind, meticulous, strong minded (when required) and the absolute heart of the wedding. We had a blended wedding and she navigated differences beautifully and acted as the conduit between parents, couples and cultures. She supported not only the immediate family, but our wider family and friends too. She invested hours of her time in logistics, I couldn’t believe the amount of time she put into us - nothing was too much for her. Our wedding fell across three days and three locations around the UK. It involved coaches and the transportation of hundreds of international guests. Often we were on zoom calls till very late at night, Daksha did settle for less than perfection.
Whilst Daksha is an exemplary wedding planner what distinguishes her from others is her loving personality and sincere care for clients. She is the kindest lady - so very caring, open, compassionate and inclusive. Personally for me she was my strength and guidance during the temple wedding where I felt extremely out of my depth. Daksha remained with me throughout supporting me and her smile guided me through the service. All of our guests adored Daksha, she quickly became a key person in our wedding and a bright light of positive energy flooding through the days.
Daksha led our suppliers and cared for them all so very well. She is such a warm and kind lady that wants the best for everyone.
I never felt wedding blews, but I felt Daksha blews as the wedding came to a close as I realised how much I would miss her! I know for certain the wedding would not have been the same without her and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know her and work alongside her.

Brilliant at her job
She really understood the vision for the wedding given it was fusion/ two separate events and recommended great suppliers - and she worked so well with my parents too, even when there were lots of last minute queries and intricacies. Her attention to detail is second to none, and ability to coordinate all the suppliers/make sure everything ran smoothly on the day was so appreciated. I’d have been so much more stressed without Daksha - she’s honestly fab. We had so many compliments on how great the day was. It was perfect - thank you so much!
