It all started when I was trawling the typical wedding sites and instagram for a photographer. I ended up with a list of about 20. But honestly, it was a list of 1, Alex, and then 19 backups. Alex's work is exceptional. The composition, lighting and energy is stunning. And the fact he captures these organically, rather than staging them, wow! I hate to be the guy who thinks he knows about photography, but I work with quite a lot of photographers in my work and Alex is one of the most talented I've ever come across.
Now the thing about insanely talented photographers, they can often have a bit of ego. Not so with Alex! In fact, he's the complete opposite. He's incredibly kind-hearted, funny and made us feel so at ease – it's no wonder he's able to capture the intimate moments he does! He has the most incredible and inclusive process, from video calls, to questionnaires and even a free pre-wedding shoot so you can get an understanding of what working with him is like. And let me tell you, working with him is a dream. We could be our true (goofy) selves in front of him and to know that side of us was immortalised in photos is so special.
And to top it all off, Alex really puts a shift in – I want to see his step count from our wedding! I've had so many guests comment on how hard Alex was working to make sure he was capturing everything. But he was never in the way or intruding. Like I said to him, he was everywhere and nowhere.

We had a couples photo shoot before the wedding and it really helped us understand how Alex works. We really felt like we were just chatting with a friend, we are both quite awkward in front of a camera and Alex really made us feel relaxed. We absolutely loved the photos from that shoot, we had some beautiful family photos with our dog that we will always treasure.
On our wedding day there was a named storm! I think this would have been quite problematic for some photographers but Alex loved the challenge. He took some amazing photos of us outside with umbrellas and dancing in the rain.
We loved Alex's approach to taking photos, he took so many great shots. He captured the atmosphere and emotion of the day, with beautiful photos where the subjects weren't aware that he was taking photos. He is very talented and we are so grateful that he captured our wedding so beautifully.
