Photographer Nick Vidal-Hall specialises in relaxed, candid and documentary-style photography, capturing the laughter, emotion, relationships and unexpected moments that make each wedding individual. His approach is warm and unobtrusive, helping even very camera-shy couples and guests feel comfortable while allowing the day to unfold naturally.
Rather than constantly directing people or interrupting what is happening, Nick works around the wedding. He becomes part of the occasion when that helps people relax, then quietly steps back when genuine moments begin to unfold. He often photographs through groups of people and across different layers of activity, creating images that feel as though you are inside the celebration rather than simply observing it.
Family photographs and couple portraits can of course be included, but they are kept relaxed and efficient. Couples can choose how much or how little direction they want, so there is no expectation to spend long periods posing for the camera.
Before the wedding, Nick takes time to understand the couple, their plans and the people and photographs that matter most to them. On the day, his aim is simple: to let everyone talk, laugh, celebrate and enjoy themselves while he takes responsibility for capturing the story beautifully.
Every selected photograph is individually edited, with couples receiving a private online gallery and high-resolution images for personal use. Completed galleries are normally delivered within seven days, with a small preview selection often available sooner.
