Tom Benson Photography is based in Lancashire, but covers all of the UK & Europe. They specialise in Weddings, Couples and Lifestyle.
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to view my page, im so pleased you're here.
If our paths have not crossed already, I am Tom Benson - A Wedding and Lifestyle photographer from Lancashire.
I believe that every couple's love story is unique. Some couples show their love for each other through romance and grand gestures, others through playfulness and the ability to poke fun at each other. What I have discovered is that no two love stories are ever identical and I specialize in capturing and preserving these beautiful moments in your unique love story!
My journey as a photographer started in 2016. I quickly found i had a passion for it and enrolled at the University of central Lancashire - in my spare time between studying i captured weddings and events before graduating with a bachelor's degree in professional photography.
I’m based in the beautiful town of Barrowford but i am available anywhere in Europe - we can chat about all that after you get in touch, you can call, text or video chat for a consultation about your day and its free so don't hesitate to reach out.

Perfect day, expertly captured!
Where do we begin!? From the moment we met Tom at a Wedding Fayre, we knew he was the photographer for our big day! No massive sales pitch or hard sell, he was just so genuine and approachable. We came away feeling like we had just spoken to a friend. During the build up to the wedding, Tom was so professional and supported us to make sure we would have the photographs we wanted from our special day.
On the day, Tom went above and beyond and turned into our personal adviser! He helped to make sure we were both in the right place at the right time and he was the go to person for knowing where to be and what to do on the day.
Since the wedding day, people have commented on how friendly and approachable he was, that they did not feel like they had a camera in their face all day and felt at ease having their pictures taken. A big plus for us!
Now to the photos. Tom, we cannot thank you enough for how well you captured not only our day, but our love for each other. Your enthusiasm, and ability to be in multiple places at the same time are outstanding! I cannot recall you being present for most of the day, as you hid in the shadows waiting for the perfect opportunities.
Your constant contact and well wishes since our day have only reaffirmed our wise choice to ask you to capture our wedding.
Thank you again, and we would recommend all to have Tom capture their day!

Couldn't recommend enough!
Tom is such a superstar and was amazing value for money based on his experience, professionalism, editing style, and all around good vibes. Communication was great from start to finish, and he was also a nice person to have around on the day.

Absolutely perfect!

I hate to admit but I’m very fussy when it comes to pictures. It was taking me a good while to find someone who’s style I liked but when we came across Tom’s work there was no doubt we wanted him to photograph our big day. From the first enquiry Tom was so helpful and for our final meeting before the wedding he settled any nerves/worries and we knew we were in safe hands.
On the morning of the wedding it felt like he was part of the bridal party as he had everyone in the room laughing. But when it came down to business you really had no idea he was there, it never felt like you were being photographed which meant he could capture some beautiful natural moments.
The pictures speak for themselves and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tom to anyone. He was absolutely fantastic. Thank you! Charlotte and Nathan x

Fantastic Photographer - couldn’t recommend enough
Tom was utterly fantastic from start to finish with capturing our day. From meeting him at a wedding fayre he immediately made us feel at ease and we knew we needed someone like this for our day. He communicated throughout the planning of the wedding and was THE most important part of our day - making sure everything ran smoothly and bossing our guests to be where they needed in a manner than was fun and enjoyable (not every photographer is!) We wanted a mixture of fun/natural pictures and some beautiful portrait style pictures which he did without feeling as though we were posing for a picture which was so important to us. He didn’t keen us away from our family/friends for long at all which was another bonus!
Tom captured our day beautifully in a way that exceeded our expectations and helped us get the photos we wanted on our list. He put everyone at ease and even spent some time giving photography tips to my sister who is at college which was so lovely of him.
1000/10 - putting your faith in a photographer is really daunting but I would use Tom again a hundred times over! Don’t hesitate and book him :)

Amazing fun photographer
We have had no issues, it’s been smooth sailing from booking to after the wedding. Tom has kept in constant communication and responded to any of our queries in a very timely way. We are absolutely in love with our photos and so happy that we got to share the day with such a fun Photographer who made it feel that little bit easier for two people who really aren’t photogenic naturally 😅

The best photographer
We had a consultation with Tom a few weeks before the wedding & he made us feel at ease and we knew how the day would run. We were able to let him know what photos we would want. When Tom turned up at the venue, he was professional but fun. He made you feel comfortable taking your photos. It was like having a friend there! We had a good laugh with Tom and he managed to capture our day with the most amazing photos. All of the photos were perfect and I would highly recommend having Tom as your wedding photographer!

I met Tom at York wedding fair, wasn’t planning on booking anything just having a browse. As soon as I got chatting to him I knew I had to book him there and then! Aside from his amazing photography he had in show, his personality and humour shon through.
We had booked the full package with Tom so he was with me and my bridesmaids while getting ready and up until the first dance, we had him sat as a guest for the wedding dinner and everyone commented how lovely he was. He was so professional throughout the day and caught some amazing shots. We wanted minimal ‘posed’ photos but wanted Tom to snap away candidly to capture special moments, and he did that brilliantly!! Our wedding album is also stunning, cannot recommend him enough!!!

Tom captured our wedding beautifully
We had Tom for our wedding in June 2024. What can we say?! From start to finish Tom was very responsive and engaged in our wedding, from sharing photos with him on instagram to receiving our photo album after the wedding. On the day he was friendly and fun to have around. He also really helped to calm my nerves in the morning. He captured our day beautifully. We love the natural style of the photos and the combination of colour and back and white. We've had one of our favourites blown up into a canvas and it came out perfect! We've had so many compliments on the quality of the photographs! Would definitely recommend Tom! Thank you Tom!

Outstanding
I can never thank Tom enough for how at ease he made us during our wedding day. We booked Tom nearly 2 years before the big day and he was always open for a chat about the day our plans and any changes we wanted. Our previews shots are incredible and I will cherish his work forever.

Tom knew our vision perfectly. I’m such a shy person when it comes to having my photo taken but Tom made us so comfortable and relaxed. He captured our wedding day incredibly. Such natural poses but making them look stunning! I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. We had such a laugh all day, again making us so comfortable. I would highly recommend!!

Romantic, rustic wedding, April 2024
Tom did an amazing job at our wedding. Right from the beginning he made us, and our guests feel completely at ease. I just let him know of the general theme and a couple of pictures I wanted him to get, but other than that, we fully trusted him to take the lead and knew he would get it right! The pictures are amazing! He was great at organising our guests for the group pictures and where to take our pictures to get the best backgrounds and effects. He’s a fantastic photographer, really talented and we’d fully recommend him to anyone! Thank you so much Tom, we are so happy with our wedding pictures!

Incredibly talented photographer perfectly capturing our day
Where do we start! I’m very self conscious on photos so when we booked our wedding I was absolutely adamant that I didn’t want a photographer but after having a look online, both me and my husband loved the natural style of Tom’s photography and the way they tell a story of the wedding day.
When we met Tom prior to our big day we instantly knew he was the right fit. Tom blended in seemlessly on the day, putting us and our guests at ease so we almost forgot he was there to photo the day and because of this, we got the most amazing, stunning, organic photos of our day. And not just of us, priceless pictures of our friends and family that we will treasure forever. We had the most incredible day of our lives and it means the world to us we have so many memories of it captured.
