About
Hi,
I have been working as a professional photographer for over ten years and previous to that as an amateur. Usually found with camera in hand!I am a BA qualified Professional Photographer with a post grad in Social Arts Practice.
A married, dad of two (no longer children) children! A passionate Scot who loves the outdoors and feels very lucky to be born and based on the West Coast of Scotland.
Family is everything to me, we are a creative bunch and it is a huge driver for my photography having documented and collated endless memorable moments with them over the years.
Photography to me is more than taking a picture. When I went on to study my post grad in Social Arts Practice, my creativity really came alive. Understanding the power of imagery and people, I have adopted an organic process which allows every session to develop in a way that is rooted through communication.
I have been lucky enough to enjoy significant and acclaimed success in my practice. Perhaps the most important thing is that I truly love what I do and feel that it matters. Always up for a chat, a plan or a plot! We created Tartan Portraits to provide a more accessible way to engage with us.
Wedding in particular are events where joy, love and laughter make the day, and as a photographer I truly try to add this wonderful, to create wonderful images.
