About Creating Diamonds Wedding Photography

Growing up in the East End of London, Matt was surrounded by art, culture and imagery and soon developed a love of photography. These days Matt lives with his wife and children in Bristol and has swapped city snaps for family photos, developing his relaxed and personal style that lends itself perfectly to weddings.

When you book Matt, he will commit himself to not only finding out about the kind of images you're after but also who you are as a couple so that he can capture completely authentic images. With his relaxed approach and healthy dose of humour, you'll feel totally at ease with Matt on the day.

  • "Massively impressed"
James and Sharon on 10 December 2018

Sharon and myself were massively impressed with the quality of Matts photography but what really made us choose him for our wedding was actually the type of person he is. Such a friendly genuine guy with a huge passion and love for his photography. He immediately put us at ease with his knowledge of his craft and guided us through the process leaving us to make our choices but adding his own suggestions to make it a truly spectacular day. With the help of his partner in crime Kelin they literally had all the angles covered. We can’t thank Matt enough for an amazing day and would hugely recommend his services.

  • "Best decision we made when picking a photographer for our wedding day!"
Dale & Liz Utting on 24 October 2018

From 9:00am to 9:00pm Matt was shooting, from capturing me playing with my son outside the registery office too our first dance on the evening. Every little moment and every big moment was captured. Also I liked matts vision, he sees scenery and lighting that you don't realise is there and his passion when he talks about Photography is undeniable. All our guests mentioned about how hard he works during the day. Best decision we made when picking a photographer for our wedding day! Dale & Liz Utting

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Each Wedding is so different and you have to be flexible, Yes I cover multiple days if requested.

Are you able to travel?

I shoot weddings nationaly and abroad so travel is not a problem at all for me.

What is the charge for travelling?

I do not charge for traveling nationally, If weddings are abroad then they are looked at on a case by case scenario, which will include all travel, accommodating and expenses plus the agreed wedding package price.

What style of photos do you take?

What kind of technology do you use?

I shoot Canon at Present with L Series Lenses, Canon Speedlights and Profoto off camera lighting. I carry at leat 2 bodies and back up lenses at all times should technology fail.

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?

I have an overall approach to wedding photography but at the same time always adapting as every venue is different or couples may have specific requirements. I personally do not feel that one rigid approach works with photography.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Canon bodies and Lenses, Profoto Lights, Magmods for light shaping and some times beauty dishes, Gary Fong Spheres, Manfrotto Tripods.

Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?

All my clients receive and Link to a Smug Mug Gallery, which is private and can only be used with the Link I provide to them directly. They can then send the link to whom they wish to.

I always tell my clients 4 weeks due to editing time and other work commitments booked, If can deliver early, which I do 99% of the time then I will.

Do you send all the photos taken?

I provided 400-500 fully edited images, which really tells the story fo the day in the best way. I believe in quality and not over saturation or any particular part of a weeding day. Images can vary in count also due to the size of a wedding party.

I have never as yet been caught in the position but yes I have colleagues that can set in for me should something bad happed, I and also a registered member of the Guild Of Wedding Photographers whom are also on hand to help supply and available professional should a problem arise.

Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?

I give full copyright to my clients for personal use such as printing etc etc. The copyright does not include using them commercially in anyway.

Do you charge per hour or per event?

I charge per event/packages. I very much have to tailor my packages according to my clients needs, which I also find very helpful as you can work closely to really get exactly what there client wants. One size does not fit all.

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

I believe there is no such thing as a 9-5 and Im just not they guy anyway. Most wedding take between 9-11 hours depending. In certain instances clients may have fireworks and need me to stay and extra 3 hours or so until they start. This is discussed and agreed on so we are both happy on the additional hourly fee.

How do you charge extra time?

This is agreed in advance and invoiced with the balance often wedding payment.

What are the forms of payment?

My preferred payment is by bank transfer, which and invoice is generated in advance for. Sometimes Clients like to pay in other ways, which we discuss and arrange to suit.

How do you work?

I'm really about relationships and communicating with my clients via, phone, text, Skype an din person really helps as I do not like to be the photographer that just turns up. I like my clients to be super computable and on first name terms. This way on the day my clients are so much more relaxed around me and in turn the camera, which really does help in a huge way for natural and beautiful photography.
