Hi there, we're Rhod and Naomi and we'd love to help tell your unique wedding story :)

We're a bit different because we don’t just photograph and film weddings — we literally write the story of your wedding day!

We’re a husband and wife team based in Bristol, and long before cameras were part of our lives, story came first. We actually met over 20 years ago on a story-writing course, later both earning degrees in English Literature, so shaping a story is second nature to us.

We first crossed paths outside Swansea University halls in 2007, a local Welsh boy and a posh English girl, and we’ve been adventuring together ever since. From swimming with whale sharks in Mexico to peering into volcanoes in Nicaragua, travel taught us how powerful it is to capture life as it really feels.

These days, you’ll usually find us with our son Dylan (who never stops singing) and our tortoise, Willis, doing what we love most: telling beautiful, honest stories through photos, film and the written word.

A personalised service like no other.

Every wedding we’re part of is completely unique, but it’s the story of how you got there that matters most to us.

Some of our favourite images aren’t the obvious big moments. They’re the quiet ones that feel like blurbs on the back of a book, the kind that make you want to turn the page and know more. The mum fiddling with the bride’s wedding dress or the groom welling up as he turns around in the aisle, about to see his future wife. Those moments are where your story lives.

Why are we called Rialto?

The best photographs and films don’t aim for perfection, they aim to capture a precious moment.

Rialto Weddings was born from my proposal to Naomi on the Rialto Bridge in Venice (I had to push the boat as it took me ten years!) The photo itself is far from perfect: it’s grainy, Naomi is sobbing uncontrollably, and I forgot to take off my sunglasses. But it’s still the image we treasure most, because it feels real. It tells the story of that moment exactly as it was.

That way of thinking underpins everything we do.
