Ray Sawyer is an award-winning wedding photographer, filmmaker, and educator based in the North East of England, specialising in honest, moment-driven storytelling through both photography and film.
Known for his authentic, documentary-led style and relaxed approach, Ray offers hybrid photo and film coverage that captures the raw emotion, connection, and beauty of a wedding day — all without turning it into a photoshoot. What does the wedding package include?
I offer photography, film only and hybrid coverage of Photo + Film. Please fill out the contact form on my website to request a brochure
How far in advance should I contact you?
I work with just 20 select couples per year. So generally I have more dates available. My typical booking lead time is 6-18 months. More chance of an available date when booking as soon as possible
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No

Yes, worldwide
What is the charge for travelling?
All UK travel and accommodation costs are included in the price. There is no hidden costs. For destination weddings the travel and accommodation is included in the price

What kind of technology do you use?

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
No. I try to stay away from anything thats 'on trend', cliché or a fad. I keep my photography consistent and editorially emotive. I document every wedding to showcase your story
What kind of equipment do you use?
The boring bit only photographers read: Sony camera bodies, Sony A7IV bodies for photo/video. Sony 35mm and 85mm lenses and speed lights

Yes, a continuously hosted Private & Secure online gallery
What's the delivery time for a photographic report?
