How far in advance should I contact you?
I'm usually booked a year in advance, but you never know I might be free on your day. Just shoot me a message and I'll respond in 24 hours.
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No, never. This day is for you two only.
Are you able to travel?
Yes I travel all over the world for weddings.
What is the charge for travelling?
Depends on the location. Sometimes I might be in that area for another job, or have friends there or want a holiday there. I take all of this into account when creating your quote.
What style of photos do you take?
My style is very candid and natural. I like to tell a story with your images, many people say it's like having a videographer there, which is lovely to hear. I like to capture the love but also the fun, I'm all about that fun. I can go from getting some lovey dovey photos of you sharing a kiss to you and your mates twerking on the dance floor to formal group shots for your parents. It's all in, but my style adds fun and twists your traditional wedding photos into your very own personal story.
What kind of technology do you use?
I use Photomechanic, Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop and Capture One for editing. I use Shootproof to provide you with your gallery. My cameras are the best you can get with Nikon.
Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
Hmm I approach your wedding based on how I've got to know you in consultations. Usually this is partly always the same with my own style(that's why you picked me after all), but each couple are different, so sometimes I might be more formal, sometimes a lot less formal.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I use Nikon cameras, I have a D850 and a Z7 (the latest Nikon camera, which is mirrorless and silent). I also use Fujifilm XT3.
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
Yes you get your own password protected site which you can share with friends and family, download high-res images from and even order prints and other products from.
What''s the delivery time for photographic report?
I usually say 8 weeks minimum, but once I start on your gallery it comes to you in a drip feed. For example, as soon as your ceremony photos are finished I'll upload that album and shoot you a message. You also get a 'First Look' album within a few days of your wedding, which is a sneak peak of your day.
Do you send all the photos taken?
No, I skip the bad angles, eyes closed and generally the ones I think you won't like. This is pretty standard, I don't have a min/max amount of photos I deliver, I give you everything I think is good.
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
It's mainly just me, I don't like to export editing to teams because it's a big part of the final image and I want me style stamped on it. If you want 2nd or 3rd photographers then I have a bunch of people I work with all of the time, so this is always available to you.
In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?
Always, yes. It's part of my contract that you are covered if I become ill or for what ever reason I'm unable to photograph your wedding. This has never happened before, but I always have a plan in place in case it does.
Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?
Yes I hold copyright of your images. If you wish to own copyright then let me know and we can work out a quote.
Do you charge per hour or per event?
I am there for the events of the day and not for a number of hours. This means that when my time is up I'm not leaving your wedding before your first dance (for example). I do offer bespoke quotes for outside of full and half, just get in touch for a special quote.
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
Yes of course, you can hire me for the standard and then pay an hourly rate to keep me any later.
How do you charge extra time?
Usually by the hour, but sometimes it can be a part of the original quote. Just message me for a chat and we can work it out together.
What are the forms of payment?
25% deposit to be paid up front, and the rest can be paid anytime up to one month before your wedding date. Some people ask to pay monthly, some pay it all upfront, some pay one month exactly before. It's all down to you. All payments must be made via bank transfer.
How do you work?
I mostly go unseen, I like to merge in with the crown. I usually become friends with my clients and their friends, it makes everyone more at ease when I am there with a camera. But until everyone has a few drinks down them or are more relaxed, I tend to try and go unnoticed.

She has that magic touch and perfect editing style
Kim honestly captured the day so well - I really love the natural candid shots and so many of the photos are exactly that. Plus she knows her lighting! ;) It was a very bright day so I was a bit concerned about how the photos would turn out outside - but she has that magic touch and editing style that is just perfect for any and all occasions. And bonus: she is such a nice and fun person! I love her unique style - she is an extremely talented photographer. You truly cannot wrong if you hire her. I want to get married again (here) just so we can have more Kim photos! Maybe for our 10 year anniversary....Sent on 03/10/2019

Hire Kim, great photos, flexible & friendly
We were going for the "enjoying the moment" shot, and from the begining Kim's work gave us that vibe.Sent on 02/11/2020
We contacted her, she was really interested in what we had in mind and how we saw our day panning out, we met in person to plan everything (she sent a full plan and task list too) , and she suggested a whole bunch of shots we had not even thought of!
Then COVID hit, Kim was really supportive and shared a lot of information, options of what we could do, She was flexible with bookings, times, etc. and really creative on coming up with things we could do following the restrictions.
All of this considered, the photos were incredible! everyone was captured having fun, guests loved her, and we couldn't be happier. Thanks Kim :)

Seamlessly captured the joy of our day - amazing!
Kim photographed our small registry office wedding and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Not only is Kim an amazing photographer technically but she has a natural talent for capturing that specific look or moment that you'd otherwise miss, which really makes all the difference.
We wanted an intimate, relaxed ceremony with none of the formalities and she totally got the brief and embraced it, the photos are spontaneous, natural and also very cool! Kim felt seamlessly part of the day without being intrusive. I was worried in a small ceremony the photographer might stick out but she really felt part of it- helping out and advising when needed but also stepping back and letting us do our thing.
Kim was very communicative before the wedding, asked questions and listened - we felt total trust in her. We got our photos back quickly and they were fantastic. Book her!Sent on 27/10/2020
