We met Jonathan at a wedding show and hit it off with him straight away. As we walked away, my husband turned to me and said, “We need to book him!” — and I’m so glad we did!

Shortly before the wedding, we had our pre-wedding photoshoot with Jonathan, and it went even better than we could have imagined. Neither of us particularly feels comfortable in front of a camera, but Jonathan made us feel completely at ease from the moment we started. Everything felt so natural and relaxed, and by the end of the shoot we were having such a laugh.

Jonathan sent us all of our photos that same day and they were AMAZING. It was such a huge relief for me because I usually hate every picture I see of myself 😂, but looking through our pre-wedding photos made me realise I had absolutely nothing to worry about when it came to our wedding day.

Jonathan also gave us a list of supplier recommendations, including Liam Watt Videography and The Big Papas Band. We booked both and we are SO glad we did — they were honestly two of the best recommendations!

Then came the wedding day itself, and Jonathan was fantastic. We had such a laugh together and everything felt so relaxed and natural. Half the time we didn’t even notice he was there, which is exactly what you want from a wedding photographer! During the ceremony he must have turned into some sort of wee ninja because he was completely blended into the background! 😂

We had a couple of sneak peeks shortly after the wedding and then, within just a few days, our entire wedding album arrived. Over 1,000 photos — and genuinely, every single one was perfect. Jonathan captured the day so beautifully and looking through the photos brought back so many little moments and memories that we hadn’t even realised he had captured.

He even went above and beyond when my mother-in-law spotted that she had her phone in her hand in a couple of the photos! 😂 I messaged Jonathan about it, and before I had even finished my phone call with her, he had edited the phone out and sent the photos back to us. My mother-in-law was absolutely delighted!

Jonathan, we honestly can’t thank you enough. You were such a huge part of making our wedding day so relaxed, fun and enjoyable, and we will treasure the photos you captured for the rest of our lives.

Jonathan is an exceptional photographer, so warm and amicable and with a zest for life. He really captured the best of our day and has worked with us throughout our marriage, even taking family shots when we approached to turn his hand to those. Jonathan was a joy to work with for our big day. He arrived early, was always available when we needed him, but blended in when we didn't. He was very friendly with our guests and made us feel comfortable having our pictures taken.

He also got pictures of certain family members who are no longer with us, and captured them having a great time. Leaving us with fantastic memories of them.

His communication in the run up to the wedding was great and he even met us for a pre-wedding shoot to help us feel more comfortable in front of the camera.

From our pre-wedding photoshoot right through to our wedding day, he was absolutely amazing. From the very beginning, everything felt so personal and relaxed. Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of a camera, but Jonathan had us laughing and feeling completely at ease within minutes — nothing ever felt awkward, forced or overly posed.
He took the time to understand what we wanted from our wedding photography and worked with us to make sure everything suited both our vision and our budget. We genuinely felt we got incredible value for money, especially when you consider the time, care and attention he put in before, during and after our wedding.
One of the things we loved most about Jonathan is his ability to see a photo opportunity absolutely anywhere. He has such an eye for it! He could look at a setting that we wouldn’t think twice about and somehow immediately see the vision. We trusted him completely to do his thing, and we’re so glad we did.
On the wedding day itself, he was the perfect balance of professional and good fun. He knew exactly what he was doing and kept everything running smoothly, but never made it feel formal or stressful. His attitude throughout the whole experience was brilliant — friendly, patient, enthusiastic and always up for a laugh. It honestly felt like having another friend there with us.
So many of our favourite photos are the little moments we didn’t even realise he was there for. Our wedding photos are something we’ll have for the rest of our lives, and we genuinely couldn’t have chosen anyone better to capture them.
