Grant is a documentary wedding photographer based in Airdrie, capturing weddings across Glasgow, the Lothians, the Borders, Stirlingshire and beyond. His style is elegant, vivid and completely unobtrusive photography that tells the real story of your day exactly as it felt.
No awkward posing and no interruptions. Just natural moments, genuine emotion and bright, timeless images you’ll love for years to come.
With a background in fire investigation, Grant brings a uniquely calm, detail‑focused presence to every wedding day. Years of analysing complex scenes have trained him to notice the smallest details, read a room instantly and anticipate moments before they unfold. This allows him to work with complete discretion, quietly observing, blending into the flow of the day and capturing the real story as it naturally happens.
Couples often say they barely noticed him, yet their gallery feels as if he was everywhere at once. Grant’s ability to stay composed, attentive and unobtrusive means you can relax fully, enjoy every second, and trust that every meaningful moment from the big emotions to the fleeting in‑between details are being captured beautifully.
If you’re looking for natural, heartfelt wedding photography with a premium experience from first message to final gallery, Grant would love to hear your plans.

Meet the team
I’m the proud owner of G Murray Photography and a documentary wedding photographer creating bright, natural and timeless imagery across Scotland. My work is shaped by a calm, discreet and unobtrusive presence. I blend quietly into the day so you can enjoy every moment without interruption, while I focus on capturing genuine emotion rather than staged poses.
Although my approach is mostly candid, I’m always happy to gently pose and guide my couples when the moment feels right. This keeps everything relaxed and natural while still giving you beautifully composed portraits that fit seamlessly into the story of your day.
Before photography, I worked in fire investigation, which gave me a meticulous eye for detail and an instinctive ability to anticipate moments before they happen. That awareness now guides the way I photograph weddings, observing carefully, timing thoughtfully and documenting the day with authenticity and care.
Couples come to me for photography that feels effortless, honest and full of emotion and is a true reflection of their day, captured with intention.
