Simon is an experienced photographer, offering unobtrusive documentary-style photography, perfectly capturing your wedding day.
Whether you’re planning a traditional church wedding or a relaxed beach ceremony, he will blend into the background, photographing all the special moments. He doesn’t believe in posed photographs, but encourages couples to act naturally, as he stands back and captures the magic. He will take a small number of group shots but will do this as quickly as possible, so you can get back to the celebrations.
He will arrive an hour before the bride leaves for the ceremony, taking photos of the preparations, and be present throughout the day, staying for the first dance and the first few songs from the DJ. After your wedding he aims to provide a small gallery of photos online, so that while you're on your honeymoon you can start to relive the memories, whilst you wait for your full collection.
From the moment things kicked off, Simon captured every detail possible whilst remaining virtually invisible. It was a truly epic job and how he made us feel so relaxed and comfortable was what we enjoyed so much. We would recommend him to anyone. Simon is a total genius
Prices start from £1,000 for a Saturday wedding
Most importantly - me, my eyes and my cameras! Plus a USB stick with your photos, a web gallery, and usually, an album.
Whenever you want - but the earlier the better.
No! Your wedding is what I will be concentrating on.
Yes - although if the travel time is over 2 hours I may charge, and further than that I may require overnight accommodation.
I will charge for a B&B or Premiere Inn type accommodation if I have to travel for more than 3 hours in the morning, or stay late at your wedding.
Natural, documentary, observational. Some call it 'wedding photojournalism' but what it means is that I observe and take photos, rather than dictate where you stand or how you should pose. Of course, the official family group photos need some direction and I will arrange you into a good looking group for those pictures.
All digital, although old style film is available on request and at extra expense.
I use my own technique and approach. Have a look through the photos on this site for a better idea.
Nikon digital cameras - although the tongue in cheek answer would be 'my two eyes and the grey matter in-between them.'
I also bring a backup of all my non-biological equipment.
No - my photos can easily be displayed on any computer or tablet.
Less than a month - and hopefully by the time you get back from your honeymoon, they'll be ready.
No - I edit out all the ones where either the bride or groom have their eyes shut, or they look particularly stupid. However, if it's your guests looking odd, or behaving weirdly, I include them!
I work on my own - although if there are logistical problems like the groom's party getting ready miles away from the bridal party getting ready, I will employ a colleague to help me.
I belong to many groups of wedding photographers on social media, and we always help each other out when necessary. In addition I have insurance that should pay out enough to re-create the wedding for the photographs (!)
Yes, but only to promote Q Photography. But if you don't want photos of your wedding used, let me know.
