I am sharing this so no one else goes through what we did.
We hired Craig Preston Roberts for our wedding at l'oscar on 10/25 paying £800 in advance. He promised beautiful portraits in the hotel, on the stairs, in the hallway, and outside -none of which happened.
During the event, his behavior was completely unprofessional. He was seen drinking, slurring, and eventually slumped over on the sofa. Guests, security, and hotel management had to get involved, and he was asked to leave the premises. He disappeared during key moments, including our speeches, and failed to complete his job.
Afterward, he refused to take responsibility, claiming “low blood sugar” and other excuses. Cameras show he was actually at the bar. He promised a refund and photo edits and neither have materialized. It’s now been weeks with no money returned and no communication.
This was deeply disappointing and distressing not just because of the money, but because you can’t redo a wedding day. His negligence stole precious time and memories from us and our guests.
I would strongly caution anyone against hiring him. He was given multiple chances to make things right and chose not to.

I had the absolute pleasure of having Craig as our wedding photographer on 20 September, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. From the moment we met him, Craig’s friendly personality made us feel completely at ease, which truly shone through in our photos.

His attention to detail is impeccable; he captured the smallest nuances that made our day unique, turning fleeting moments into timeless memories. Craig’s casual approach was a breath of fresh air—never intrusive, yet always present to catch those candid, heartfelt interactions. His creativity knows no bounds; each photo is a work of art, blending natural emotions with stunning compositions.

What truly sets Craig apart is his editorial style. The pictures are not just photographs; they tell a story. Looking through our wedding album feels like reliving our special day, frame by frame.

Hired Craig to photograph our wedding and I have to say one of the best things I did. Not only was he welcoming, relaxed and very personable but made all of the chaos of taking photos very easy and smooth. Was budget friendly and very understanding. Took his time to get the extra details and got some beautiful candids.
Craig went above and beyond what we had agreed with absolutely no concern for himself his only thought being that our wedding and all our most treasured memories were captured. He absolutely caught our drift with what we were looking for and was so friendly with all our guests, communication was brilliant and was so quick to edit and send over our beautiful photos!

Craig was a delight to work with on our wedding day. He captured so much of our day without us really noticing. We were left to enjoy much of our day while he got on with his work. Craig was polite, professional but also personable. He was incredibly prompt with getting our photos to us. We were a bit nervous about being in front of the camera, but he put us at ease. We're very pleased and would recommend.

I can not express how thrilled we are with Craig's photography and the entire service he delivered. Craig is such an engaging, warm and flexible person - I knew from our first meeting that we would feel comfortable having him around us capturing intimate and relaxed images, and I'd already seen how dramatic and modern his photography was, so I was sold instantly.

When he arrived to join me during the morning preparations, he was perfectly discrete, quietly chatting with my friends and relaxing us all. He could not have been more agile and fun when he was jumping on and off a golf buggy round Battersea Park with my husband and I to capture as many iconic shots as timing would allow! So many of my guests commented on what a fabulous photographer he was - both in terms of his art, and how he engaged with everyone in such a charming way. It was a genuine pleasure having Craig join us in our 'perfect' day.

Craig's offer is excellent value - within 1 week, we had a selection of highlights to share, and within 1 month, all the images had been beautifully edited and there were hundreds of them. We have so enjoyed browsing through them with friends and family. I am not sure how many hours of my life I have already spent pouring over them, and I haven't even got round to framing any yet!

Craig was absolutely fantastic - he met with us beforehand and kept in contact to discuss our style, prepared by scouting out different locations near the wedding venue and reception, and our guests loved him. We're so so pleased with the outcomes! We loved how relaxed he was on the day and just slotted in without any direction. Perfect for us.

We hired Craig to do our engagement photoshoot in London and we'd absolutely recommend him for other couples. Craig responded really quickly after the initial inquiry and was incredibly friendly and flexible. On the day, he was really relaxed while of course also being professional and we had a great time chatting while we did the photos. He helped us feel relaxed, because we were a bit nervous, and the photos turned out beautifully! We'll be using them for our wedding website and invitations :)

We wanted non-standard wedding photography, like a reportage style - and Craig just instantly got it, and delivered some amazing still memories of an incredible night. He was communicative in the run up, didn't bat an eyelid when we changed the start time, and got us a sample of the full set set really soon, followed by a folder full of full-res images afterwards.

Craig was professional throughout the day. In this instant being a wallflower was a good thing and he blended into the crowd. Beautiful moments captured forever!

Craig photographed our outdoor wedding and was excellent from start to finish. We wanted the shots to all be natural rather than staged and we are so happy with the result and the super fast turnaround! Craig kept in touch throughout the editing process to make sure we were happy with everything and was an absolute pleasure to have there on the day (several people thought he was a friend of ours :)).

A real gent, incredibly flexible and kind. I'm a photographer myself, so it was great to discuss technical aspects of what we wanted. We also hate having our photo taken. Craig's relaxed but professional approach allowed us to froget the camera and enjoy the day. Our day couldn't have been better, and he was a big help in making that happen. 10/10 would recommend!
