Hello, I'm Carl James i am a wedding Photography based in Derbshire in the East Midlands. My journey in the industry began with landscape photography and has since extended to the world of weddings. Two of my proudest moments in photography, firstly, was when i had my work published and the second, when i said yes to my first wedding, since then i have been hooked. The raw emotion, romance, and theatrics of this momentous occasion really drew me to this style of photography. I offer hybrid shooting so i shoot Photo and Video. Nothing captures your day like a video to music. My workflow anchers itself on getting you the most beautiful photos in the most efficient way. I want you to enjoy your day and not drag you away for the entire cocktail hour. The wedding day is about you two and this is why i believe my candid approach is favourable.

Since my first wedding i have fallen head over heels for wedding photography and i take pride in photographing couples who match my energy and of course being head over heels for each other. Capturing the candid and unscripted moments is at the heart of my carefully perfected craft. I understands that formal posed pictures can be daunting for most and i lean into this by favouring a candid approach. i.e keep you moving and snapping the cute intimate moments inbetween.

Hybrid shooting is the method i go by, meaning i will alternate between videography and photography throughout the day. However if its just photo or just video then that is fine too.
