It really is going to be difficult to articulate just how much of an impact Ash left on me and my wife, on our wedding day.

The whole experience was incredible, with Ash approaching our day not as a "job" but as an experience he wanted to be part of - he was as excited as us, to capture those moments and document the smiles, tears, laughter and drunk dancing (!).

The pre-wedding conversations were open and collaborative, and on the day Ash came and just elevated the day with his presence - his eye for a shot, his humanity and most of all his positivity and passion for what he clearly loves doing - taking your picture!

No question about it, we would do it all again exactly the same - do not hesitate, book Ash you will not regret it!

We found Ash after browsing on Instagram and we were straight away attracted to his style of photography.

After only a short video call we were certain we wanted Ash to be our wedding photographer! He understood our requirements and challenges with having two shy children under the age of three. We could tell immediately that Ash was extremely personable and would fit into our day seamlessly.

On the day Ash managed to capture us and all of the guests (including our shy toddler!!) perfectly.

A particular highlight was receiving the sneak peaks the day after the wedding , we were amazed by the quality of the photography!

Ash was such a pleasure to work with, I found organising the wedding extremely overwhelming but Ash made his part so easy. Always responsive even with a 13 hour time difference from NZ and put me totally at ease. He asked all the right questions, got to know us as a couple and as a result captured the day so perfectly. Ash was nothing but perfect! From our initial enquiry with himself, to pre wedding video calls and to the big day itself, he was absolutely brilliant with us.

Nothing felt too much to ask and he understood the kind of day we were after to a T! Chilled, nothing too posed and just nice natural shots of our entire party rather than just having the focus on ourselves. We really couldn’t have found a better fitting photographer to spend the day with and the pictures were more than we ever could have hoped for..

Being from out of the area, Ash also doubled as a brilliant tour guide and planned perfectly our route around the city to ensure ourselves and guests didn’t miss anything York had to offer. This all whilst capturing the most beautiful images of us all without even realising, we really don’t know how he does it!

Our wedding was only a small one, this being just ourselves, our 2 little ones and a handful of close friends, all of whom couldn’t speak highly enough of Ash. He really did feel like more of a friend / guest who just fitted right in rather than a photographer, this something that we were initially a little daunted by when first looking into booking this service..

We’ve had so many lovely compliments about our pictures and even friends enquiring about whether he would be available for their own big days. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn’t have anybody else..

We had our wedding in August and were fortunate to have Ash as our photographer. Since our wedding was small and intimate, we were initially worried about having someone we didn’t know there and feared we’d be taken away for hours of posed photos. However, Ash was nothing like that! From our first conversation, he was warm, friendly, and immediately put us at ease—even offering helpful suggestions for the day’s schedule when I reached out to him in a panic on a random Sunday.

On the wedding day, Ash blended in seamlessly and somehow seemed to be everywhere at once without ever feeling intrusive. He knew the best spots in York for stunning photos, had an eye for capturing the perfect shot, was open to trying different ideas, and knew exactly when we needed a break. He even helped arrange a quiet, much-needed moment for my husband and me to be alone.

All the reviews do not give justice as to how amazing Ash is!. He was recommended to us by a friend and we did not hesitate to ask him. Ours was a very small event and Ash was perfect for this. From start to finish to the communication was amazing. He was enthusiastic, creative but in no way overwhelming. He is very calm and relaxed and exceptionally talented. We are a very quirky couple and he went with every idea and enhanced it further. He puts you massively at ease on the day and got on so well with us and the guests. If your York based like us, go for Ash!. He loves the city and knows it better than any local. He has the best shots and has amazing creativity. He is exceptionally patient even when we needed a quick break (Don't wear high heels on the cobbles in York). He is a really nice guy and we simply enjoyed getting to know him and him being there. Ash has been absolutely fantastic, from our first meeting to our wedding day we couldn’t have been happier. Ash is super friendly, and listens to everything you want. We originally got married in December, but also had a party in July, and for both he was amazing. We couldn’t be happier with our photos and can’t wait to see him again for photos with our little girl.
