What To Know About Wedding Marquee And Tipi Hire In Northumberland

Planning on hiring a wedding marquee or tipi in Northumberland? Here are some questions couples frequently ask.

Do Marquees Need Flat Ground?

Worried that the ground at your venue may be sloping or uneven? Never fear, marquees don't need to be erected on flat ground. Sometimes, they can be erected on an adjustable platform if there is a pronounced slope.

How Long Does It Take To Erect A Marquee?

This depends on the size of a marquee, as well as its internal finish, complexity, and other factors. Marquees for small events can be erected in one day, but for larger events like weddings, it can take up to three days.

How Much Do Tipis Cost?

The average cost of tipi rental in the UK can be anywhere between £750 to £4000, depending on the size and number of tipis rented. As tipis are slightly smaller than marquees, couples will often rent multiple tipis for their wedding. Sometimes they can be connected to each other to form one large space.

How Many People Can Fit In A Tipi?

Tipis can vary in size depending on the supplier. A small tipi will generally hold roughly 30 people, with a large one holding 60-70. For more space, sometimes couples will rent three or four tipis connected to each other.

Olympus Marquees and Joanne were just amazing to work with. The communication with the team was spot on and the marquee looked amazing on the day of our wedding. I would highly recommend Olympus Marquees to any couple who are looking for a marquee wedding.

The tipis were amazing - created a fantastic space for music (including a harp group), food, drink, and chatting late into the night. The team who put it up were excellent- super nice and considerate, and really wanted to get everything right for us. They couldn’t have been more helpful. It was though, very hot in there during the day but it was the heat wave weekend. Tents, flooring and lights were brilliant, fire pits were fun but some of the furniture was a bit disappointing, especially considering the cost of its hire which we thought was expensive. Overall, though, it provided a real wow to the wedding and all the guests were blown away by it.
