Hello, I'm Andrew McKay
A wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
My photography journey began with a love for Scotland’s landscapes and the incredible light, textures, and moments that exist right on our doorstep. Over time, that appreciation for place naturally evolved into a passion for people — real connections, genuine emotion, and the fleeting moments that often matter the most.
My approach is all about creating a relaxed, enjoyable experience. I know most people don’t spend their weekends in front of a camera. My job is to make you feel comfortable, guide you gently when needed, and give you the space to be yourselves. No awkward posing, no forced smiles — just honest, natural moments that tell your story.
I photograph weddings in a relaxed style, focusing on the in-between moments just as much as the big ones — the laughter, the nerves, the quiet glances, and everything you might not even realise is happening at the time. The result is a gallery that feels true to you and lets you relive the day as it really was.
Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement, a full-day celebration, or something completely your own, I’d love to be there to capture it in a way that feels effortless, meaningful, and timeless.
If you’re looking for a photographer who’ll blend in, keep things calm, and care just as much about how the day feels as how it looks — we’ll get on just fine.
My promise to you is that I’ll be even more buzzing to capture your wedding than I am when the dessert arrives.
