Amy Takes Photos is an established wedding photography company based in Birmingham, West Midlands. Owner and talented artist Amy has documented candid moments at wedding celebrations for over ten years and has built a stunning portfolio. Amy strives to capture genuine emotions and will ensure your most flattering and relaxed images will make it to your wedding album. She uses a fun reportage style to deliver a blend of formal and informal photos you can treasure for years to come. Amy Takes Photos will endeavour to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere so you can feel confident and gorgeous in front of the camera.
Services Offered
Amy Takes Photos covers weddings in the West Midlands and travels throughout the UK. Amy photographs pre-wedding photoshoots as well as the main event, from prep photos to the dance floor. Your high-resolution images will be delivered to you as digital files, albums, and gorgeous wall art you can enjoy with your loved ones.
Amy has recently rebranded and changed her company name from Capture Photography to Amy Takes Photos.

My approach is relaxed and inconspicuous, I have a strong candid style but I'll happily get people organised for the more formal shots too. I help people relax especially when they're nervous

I'm organised and I work hard to put you at ease to get the best photos of even the most nervous. Backdrops are important but for me it's the emotion and capturing those moments that I love

Fabulous wedding shots
Amy took fantastic pictures of our day and we are so pleased with them. She made us feel relaxed and managed to get pictures of everyone without us even knowing she was there. She captured beautiful natural images of all of us as well as the usual more formal shots. We are so glad we found her and also that we booked the full day from prep to first dance. The photos have told the story of our wedding day and will be a lasting reminder of the fantastic time we all had.

Amy shot our wedding at Curradine Barns, Worcestershire. Our photos are amazing, very natural. Amy managed to blend in with the guests and got some lovely pictures for us to treasure. She is a lovely lady to work with. We would highly recommend her.

Incredible!!!!!
Amy Is such a talented photographer and I think her photos speak for themselves but behind the camera is Any! I don't Think I could have received any more compliments about Amy on our wedding day, she is so lovely and made everyone feel at ease but also making sure that the photos were the best they could be.
We also had a videographer and Amy worked so well with everyone assumed they worked together.
I have never had a problem getting hold of Amy and we received sneak peeks a day or two after the wedding which was so exciting and incredible for as we were still buzzing from the whole day.
Amy also did our friends wedding so we already knew the photos would be greT and we really did feel relaxed and enjoyed it all which is incredible as neither of us liked having our photos taken.
Definitely use Capture Photography for your wedding ( or any other big event) you won't regret it.

Professional but personal and highly recommended
We booked Amy pre covid for outlets big day which unfortunately meant we had to re-arrange three times. Amy was extremely understanding and accommodating in working with when we secure our new dates. We didn’t have an engagement shoot before the wedding as we got engaged a number of years ago but Amy still made a tremendous effort to meet with us before hand and go through all we were after. On the day Amy was early to our bridal prep to ensure we got all the photo opportunities and made everyone feel at ease. I can honestly say, I’m a good way, we hardly noticed any was there!! She managed to get in all the right positions and get all the right shots with no stress. She worked with us to complete a posed session as well as all of the candid shots. All we can say Amy, once again is, Thank you!! If you would like a photographer who is personable, down to earth, and who makes you feel completely at ease then look no further. Our digital album photos look amazing and we look forward to receiving our printed album soon 🖤

Beautiful Photos
Amy was wonderful at capturing our day. I deliberately didn’t want somebody who would blend in with our wedding party and a less formal approach to other photographers I have seen. Amy got the most beautiful candid shots that captured the atmosphere of our day. She was communicative and professional at all times. Would recommend.
