So many of our guests commented on how amazing the band was — they truly made our day. Beyond their incredible music, they were also a joy to work with: organised, flexible, and genuinely invested in making our celebration perfect.

We had the absolute pleasure of having NeoRoots Function Band play at our wedding at the start of August, and we can honestly say they were one of the best decisions we made for the day.

From start to finish, the music was just incredible. We had the ceremony and cocktail duo during the day, which created the perfect atmosphere and set the tone beautifully. Then in the evening, the full band took over and absolutely brought the party!

They even learnt our first dance song, which meant so much to us – it was performed perfectly and made that moment even more special. Throughout the whole process, communication was fantastic – Jess in particular was amazing. She made everything easy, personal, and stress-free.

Since the wedding, we’ve had so many messages from friends and family telling us how brilliant the band was – several people said they’d never spent so much time on a dance floor at a wedding before! NeoRoots genuinely made the evening unforgettable.

We can’t thank them enough and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a band that brings talent, energy, and total professionalism.

We hired this band for our wedding, and while there were some positive moments, overall we were left quite disappointed, especially considering the importance of the music and the cost involved.

The positive was that once the band got going, they sounded good. A few of the songs we had specifically requested really landed well with our guests and their energy during those moments was much appreciated.

However, a few key issues unfortunately overshadowed the experience.

One was significant delays (partially due to dinner delay and partially due to the band) led to a very reduced set time.
The band didn’t start playing until around 10:30pm — over an hour and a half later than expected — despite previous reassurances that setup could be completed within 90 minutes. As a result, we received only about 1 hour and 20 minutes of live music, instead of the full 2 hours we had paid for.

The freelance engineer brought in seemed unprepared for the venue’s technical setup, despite this information having been shared well in advance. We were particularly disappointed to learn that he hadn’t even been told it was a wedding, and his attitude toward us on the night was unfortunately quite rude, something no couple should have to deal with on their wedding day.

Despite conversations ahead of time about our preferred music style (a mix of modern hits and '90s tracks), the set didn’t really reflect what we had envisioned. It felt static and didn’t adapt to the crowd as we’d hoped. We asked wedding party members twice to ask for the music to be altered on the night with no success. It took the groom to ask again for anything to be changed (not something you want to do on your wedding day). We’d also been under the impression that the singer and saxophonist would be roaming, but this didn’t happen.

We’re not sharing this review to be unkind, but to provide honest feedback for others making a big decision — and spending a significant amount — on wedding entertainment. The band has talent, but unfortunately the planning, communication and delivery didn’t live up to what was promised or expected especially due to the cost.

If you are thinking of booking NeoRoots, all we can say is DO IT!! They are absolutely incredible and kept everyone on the dancefloor at our wedding all night! We spent so long looking at so many different bands and when we came across NeoRoots we knew they were perfect for us.

From our initial enquiry right through to the wedding day Tino was brilliant. He dealt with all of our queries, had multiple calls with us and was super helpful in adjusting the timings to ensure everything ran smoothly. The band even helped us with our timings by doing some of the set up the day before the wedding which made a massive difference for us.

And now to their performance on the night...wow!!! All of our guests have been going on about how amazing they were. The set lists were perfect and everyone loved the way the band were out roaming amongst the dance floor! They really got everyone involved and are all so incredibly talented.

All we need to do now is find an excuse for another party! Thanks so much NeoRoots!

I'm not one for writing reviews but have never felt so compelled in a long long time.
These guys and girls were the centrepiece at my sons wedding and were without doubt THEE most talented group of singers and musicians you are likely to encounter. If you are planning a wedding I urge you to get these guys into your budget. You will not be disappointed. 11/10

We've booked this band after seeing them perform before and they are just incredible, we get to see them again next month and we are counting down the days, honestly just the loveliest people and unlike any other band we've seen and we've seen so many! their sets are energetic from start to finish, its like being at a concert, a million percent recommended. x

I feel I need to shout from the rooftops not leave a review here about the NR band. From start to finish they were an absolute dream, we had them at our wedding all day, we asked them to bring the party and boy did they. The venue described it as the best wedding they have seen! They put their heart and soul in to performing, we danced non stop from the wedding breakfast entrance till the last song, our guests LOVED them, describing it like a concert and wanting to hire the band every month. They made the wedding for us and no one had ever seen anything like it. We can’t thank Jess and the gang enough, we are officially Rooties!

We hired the Neo Roots Band for our wedding reception after they were referred to us by a friend.

We spoke to Craig and Jess. Both are lovely people and excellent to work with. They worked with us for our set lists and make amazing recommendations.

When it came to our event we hired them as a 9 piece band. They blew our minds with how good they were. Our guests had an absolute smashing time. Everyone loved them.

Overall we found them a delight to work with. Super professional and great people!

NeoRoots were incredible from start to finish. From the moment we booked them, we felt so looked after and at ease. They were able to cater too all our needs for our wedding party from speaking to our venue to ensure smooth set up to listening to our taste in music and putting together an incredible set. The cherry on top was learning a song for our first dance, I can only describe that moment as magical.
