The Britannia String Quartet is a professional string quartet group based near Portsmouth in Hampshire, providing live music for weddings and events in Hampshire, West Sussex, Dorset, and Surrey. We make it our duty to create a wonderful atmosphere with our varied repertoire of music. From Mozart to Guns N' Roses, Handel to Snow Patrol, Bach to Queen, we really do have music for every taste!
Our instrumentalists are all highly experienced performers. Several members of the team are retired players from HM Band of the Royal Marines and have performed regularly for members of the Royal Family on board the former Royal Yacht Britannia. It was this fairly unique fact that influenced our name.
