Hi, I’m Josh.

I’m a Glasgow-based saxophonist with over 20 years of playing and performing experience. My set is an eclectic mix of pop, dance and electronic music, designed to appeal to all ages and tastes and resonate with everyone. I offer two core services, the dancefloor set, and a cocktail hour set.

Expect a wide range of feel-good tracks: from Mr Saxobeat (Alexandra Stan) to Destination Calabria (Alex Gaudino, Crystal Waters), from A Little Respect (Erasure) to Pink Pony Club (Chappell Roan), from Just Can’t Get Enough (Depeche Mode) to Freed From Desire (Gala, Molella, Phil Jay).

With over 20 years of performing experience and formal training from the University of Leeds (BA Hons, Popular and World Music) and the University of York (MA, Music), I combine deep musical understanding with a genuine love of performing to create an unforgettable experience your guests will truly enjoy.

I offer 2 core services. The ‘Dancefloor’ set, and the ‘Cocktail Hour’ set.

The Dancefloor set – an upbeat mix of well known pop, dance and electronic songs for all ages and tastes that are guaranteed to get people on the dancefloor and having a good time. The focus is on instantly recognisable tracks, feel-good music that creates a fun, inclusive atmosphere without feeling cheesy or overdone. This works well either before a DJ or live band, or later in the evening as a standalone performance. The spotify link below provides the full list of songs that can be included in a set. I can put something together for you or you can pick and choose which ones you would like to include.

The Cocktail Hour set takes well-known pop songs and reworks them with stripped-back, acoustic backing tracks. The songs remain familiar, but the overall vibe is more relaxed. This set is ideal for cocktail hours, guest arrivals, drinks receptions, or moments where you want recognisable music and a chilled vibe without it taking over the room.

Pricing

I charge £225 for a one-hour set, which includes travel in and around Glasgow. For events outside Glasgow I charge £265. I usually plug into the venue’s sound system, but for smaller gatherings or home events, I can provide my own sound equipment.

Special Requests

Want a specific song included? I’m happy to incorporate special song requests into your set — just let me know in advance of your performance date so I can arrange it properly and ensure it fits seamlessly within the flow of the set.
