About

Based in Warwickshire, Jools is a professional violinist with over 30 years of experience in the music industry. His career spans international performances in Dubai, national festival tours with the ‘Summer in Nashville’ circuit, and collaborations with artists such as Horace Panter (The Specials). As a prolific session artist, his work has contributed to multiple albums reaching the Top 20 of the UK Americana, Indie, and Folk charts. This extensive background ensures a reliable and adaptable presence for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Jools maintains a versatile repertoire of over 400 tracks, ranging from traditional classical masterpieces to contemporary pop and rock covers, smooth jazz, and traditional folk. This allows him to provide a tailored musical backdrop that suits the specific requirements of each event. For weddings, his service includes learning one special request as part of the standard fee, provided a high-quality backing track is available.

Beyond private events, Jools is a regular performer within the care sector, providing tailored music for those living with dementia. This experience reinforces his ability to read a room and adjust his performance to the natural flow of an event, remaining flexible if schedules change.

Logistically, Jools is fully self-contained, using a high-quality, compact PA system with a minimal visual footprint, making it suitable for historic or intimate venues. For larger events, he is equipped to integrate into house sound systems. He offers the choice of a purely acoustic performance or an amplified violin accompanied by professional backing tracks, providing a high-standard musical presence for any setting.
