This profound legacy has been passed down through generations, becoming the 9th generation, learning the sacred art of Qawwali from their paternal grandfathers, Ustad Tufail Ahmed and Ustad Qurban Hussain renowned for their groundbreaking contributions to Qawwali, including the iconic “Mera Piya Ghar Aaya”.

Not only deeply rooted in Qawwali, but the family’s expertise also extends into classical music, a discipline they inherited from their maternal grandfather, Ustad Latafat Hussain Khan, a legendary figure in classical music. Ustad Latafat Hussain Khan taught some of the most famous names in South Asian music, including the legendary Sabri Brothers Qawwal.
