Cúl Mór Ceilidh Band is a dynamic and energetic Ceilidh Band based in Glasgow, and we play for weddings and events across Scotland and the rest of the UK. Our musicians have experience working in bands and ensembles across the musical spectrum. What is included in the wedding package?
A 3 or 4-piece band depending on your preference. We bring all of the equipment, instruments, microphones and PA system and will setup/take down everything quickly and subtly
How far in advance should I contact you?
As far in advance as you can. We are all busy freelance musicians outside of our band so securing us as soon as possible is important

Yes, we are often asked to arrange first dances in a more traditional/folk style
What's your experience?
We are all busy freelance musicians working in a variety of different areas within the industry. These include playing with Scotland's top orchestras, leading jazz musicians and wedding/function bands

Yes
Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?
Yes, suitable space for a 4-piece plus PA system
Can you travel?
Yes, mainly Scotland and Northern England however we welcome enquiries from across the UK
Is there a charge for travelling?
Yes, subject to specific enquiries
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
Alone
What is the length of time of the act?
Generally 2-3 sets of 45 minutes spread between 20:00 and 00:00
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
One hour prior to the start of the performance. Most commonly a 19:00 arrival for an 20:00 start
Do you do open-air acts?
Yes
Do you charge per hour or per event?
Per event
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

How do you charge extra time?
Subject to individual situation/request
What are the forms of payment?
Bank Transfer
A 10% deposit upon the initial engagement of the band with full payment required no later than 5 working days after the event
