Roots Florist is a highly experienced wedding florist based in Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria. Providing a romantic, natural and relaxed feel to your dream wedding florals.

Shona created Roots a wedding and events florist in 2025 following over a decade employmened as head florist in a retail and wedding studio.

A wide range of knowledge & experience has been gained within the Lake District Wedding industry, over the years of creating and visiting a wide range of venues. As well as the flower studio, Roots is busy away being a self employeed local gardener, which has brought a real love and interest into kickstarting her new small flower growing patch, right in the back garden.

She provides a deep passion for floral design to every creation, blending her knowledge of current , and past styles. Providing and covering in and around Cumbria / Lake District

Each wedding is professionally bespoke and created with a variety of fresh, seasonal blooms and foliages sustainable and locally grown/ sourced where possible, if not from her patch!

From bridal party bouquets to statement arches or installs , venue flowers to buttonholes.

Roots is here to build a proffesional relaxed approach to the design and planning of your wedding flowers. Shona is aware that it can seem quite a daunting task, this is where she will guide & advise you in the best way to help bring ease to planning. Working with you and your designated flower budget.

Roots aim is to ensure that every wedding created is personal just to the clients requirements. Once you have had your first intial call and discussed your wedding flowers in more depth with Shona you will then recieve an estimated costing. This can be tweeked and changed once your date is booked and confirmed.
