Under the Covers is more than a wedding band. We’re more than the great music we play or the incredible show we put on. With thousands of weddings and events under our belt, we're the expert friend in your corner, to ensure you get everything you want from your day.
The moment you get in touch, we work with you to create a day which refelects you, ending with the greatest night of music imgainable... just for YOU! From adivce around choosing the perfect first dance and crafting a setlist, through to bringing just the right energy, at just the right moments.
Based in Manchester and regularly playing at venues all over the North West and beyond, we know what works, how to read a room, and how to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day with no stress, no drama, only good vibes and great music.
Our most popular line-up is a 7-piece band with male and female vocals, saxophone, guitar, keys, bass, and drums, but we offer everything from a tight 5-piece to a full 9-piece band, depending on your style, space, and budget. We bring all our own professional sound, lighting and tech crew, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Music-wise, we’ve got over 250 songs to choose from the 1950s to modern hits. Trak not on the list? No problem — we’ll learn it and perform it live.

Excellent band that made the party
A huge part of what made our wedding so special
Joey and the band were not only brilliant performers but also fantastic comperes. They handled the flow of the evening with charm and humour, making moments like the cake cutting feel personal and genuinely funny. Our first dance included a surprise twist for our guests, and Joey worked with us ahead of time to make sure it landed perfectly - it was entertaining, memorable, and had people talking all night.
It’s rare to find a band that feels like part of the celebration rather than just entertainment. Under the Covers were that rare find. They elevated the entire evening and made it unforgettable. We honestly couldn’t have wished for anything better.

Hi - I'm Joey! I run Under the Covers.
I have been singing with Under the Covers since 2013 and have been fortunate enough to play with them all over the country and abroad.
I love music and I love weddings. Seeing the joy on a couple's face when we strike up the first dance or opening number is such a delight. Being an integral part of a couple's day is never lost on me and I will always do my best both in the lead-up and on the day to make sure it's the best day it can be!
I'm Joel, I have worked as engineer for Under the Covers since 2017. My background was in music, before I moved to the more techinical side - the man behind, the man behind the mic I suppose. I have had the pleasure of engineering at hundereds of weddings and key responsibility in my eyes, is that the couple feel really safe and really confident in what we are doing. Planning a wedding is a huge task, so helping them relax, safe in the knowledge it's going to be great is really important to me.
