Owner and fine artist Penny strives to give couples and their guests an alternative experience that exudes creativity, fun, and unity. Instead of signing a regular book, guests add their unique touch to a personalised Signature Canvas painted in advance by Penny. This artistic approach creates an atmosphere of energy, beauty, and joy. The Signature Canvas allows guests to come together to create a cherished painting brimming with love for you on your special day.
Service offered
Your experience with The Signature Canvas begins with a consultation, where you choose the size of your canvas and discuss your wedding theme. Penny will paint the background for your painting with personal details tailored to your requests. On the day, Penny will bring the canvas to your venue and set up a small workshop area for guests to participate. Each guest adds their touch to the canvas. It can be just the smallest of touches or something that stands out representative of the variety of personalities! Don’t worry! I bet you’re thinking, my guests will paint something totally different, or inappropriate!! They won't, as the onsite team will guide everyone and generally speaking the guests know the canvas will be showcased in your house so they are always respectful. Besides, there isn’t anything Penny can’t fix afterwards in her studio.
The service is totally personalised. The couple choose the size of canvas, the theme and the colours. On the wedding day the canvas arrives with the background already painted to the theme the couple has chosen. Usually couples choose to have this activity during the reception and the early part of the evening to allow guests arriving for the evening reception to be involved.
Once everyone has added their own touch, Penny will make final touch-ups and fine-tune each detail in her studio before delivering with a grand reveal. This is when the magic happens and Penny brings harmony to the canvas. It is a piece of artwork the couple will own, knowing that their guests helped create the canvas on their wedding day. It will keep the memory alive forever.
Some couples surprise each other by arranging the Signature Canvas, some friends and family offer the Signature Canvas as à présent and some couples just love the idea of knowing it is an alternative guest book that will light up any room.

The most amazing way to remember our wedding
So many people still talk about it and tell me how lovely it was and how they haven’t seen it at another wedding. I love having it up in my kitchen and reminding me of our big day. Our friends also like to try and spot the parts they did when they had one to many drinks.
I now have a 1 of a kind piece of work to remember my wedding by which I can look at every day. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
A special wedding days in the Cotswolds and West Sussex !
I found Penny and her wonderful canvas paintings. She was an absolute delight to work with. She attended both our wedding ceremonies, which in itself was amazing of her, it meant all our guests could put their own mark, brushstroke to it.
Nothing was too much trouble, so helpful with talking us through which room we would put the finished canvas in, the theme and coloursheme we wanted. All our guests absolutely loved and had fun doing this and had never seen this before
which was exactly what we wanted. Penny then put her own detail and magic touches to final picture. We have it in our lounge room so all can see it, it's such a talking point and special for family and friends to see their artistry on the finished canvas.

An incredible memory made for life
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Penny was extremely professional, amazing with our friends and family and always checked in from the very beginning to the very end of the painting to ensure that we were happy with the progress.
We would highly recommend anyone to go with this great idea. It was so fun to see the surprise on our guest's faces and really get into making such a special piece for us.
It was also such an exciting moment to get home and receive the perfectly packaged painting and unveil something that we will cherish forever. It has also become a massive talking point for anyone that visits and tries to pick out their circle! We can't thank Penny enough!!

If you’re looking for something truly special to add to your wedding that provides a lasting memory, I cannot recommend The Signature Canvas enough. I asked Penny to create a canvas of the Alaskan Mountain range where we got engaged and for the guests to all paint trees. Looking forward to seeing the finished picture, but it was looking amazing !!
