At The Shared Canvas, I believe the most meaningful wedding keepsakes aren't bought - they're made together.

I paint your celebration live. You choose a scene that means something to you - your venue, a favourite landscape, a coastal view, anywhere that holds a special place in your story - and I bring it to life on canvas as your day unfolds around you.

What makes The Shared Canvas truly unique is what happens next. Your guests are invited to add their own brushstroke to the painting - a small, beautiful act that weaves everyone who shared your day into a single piece of art. By the end of the evening, you have something no one else in the world has. A canvas that tells your story, in your colours, with the marks of every person you love.

Every painting is professionally finished, framed and personally delivered to you once it has had the care and time it deserves - because great art shouldn't be rushed.

Working with me is relaxed, personal and completely bespoke. I meet with you before your day to plan every detail, and on the day itself, I fit seamlessly around your schedule so you never have to think about a thing.

Fully insured and based in the UK, I travel to weddings across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and beyond.

My portfolio includes a mix of acrylic canvas work and watercolour examples on paper - all live wedding commissions are painted on stretched canvas.

What is included in the wedding package?

Pre-event consultation, live painting, guest participation experience, finished framed canvas personally delivered. Travel free within 20 miles

How far in advance should I contact you?

I recommend booking as early as possible to secure your date. That said, I welcome shorter notice enquiries where availability allows — don't hesitate to get in touch!

What other services to you provide?

Other (Watercolour venue and building commissions available as non-live pieces on paper)

Are you able to travel?

Yes, based in Soham, Cambridgeshire. I travel across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk and beyond — travel is free within 20 miles, with mileage charged at £0.45 per mile thereafter

Is there a charge for travelling?

Yes, travel is free within 20 miles. £0.45 per mile thereafter. Overnight stays for distant events available on request

Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?

Yes, a small table or easel space near the celebration area is required. I am fully self-sufficient with all paints, canvases and equipment provided. A power source is not needed

How long is the act?

I paint throughout your celebration, typically 4-8 hours depending on canvas size. Duration is agreed in advance during your pre-event consultation

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

I typically need 30-45 minutes to set up before your event begins. This is arranged in advance with your venue so everything is ready before guests arrive

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per event

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Yes

How do you charge extra time?

Extra time is handled flexibly and discussed at the pre-event consultation. Where possible I aim to complete the full experience on the day, including finishing and framing

What are the forms of payment?

I accept bank transfer for deposits and final payments. Card payments are also available at events and wedding fairs

Artwork not wedding related

I commissioned Cera to produce a trio of small paintings for me of Rabbits which would hang in my en-suite, ultimately complimenting a wooden Rabbit statue already in-situ. I had previously purchased the frames and so the size of the paintings was determined by these. I gave Cera the frames and asked her to size the paintings to fit. She was more than happy to do this and after discussing what I liked, I had full faith in what she would produce. I had already seen some of Cera’s other work and was very impressed with all that I saw.
A couple of weeks later she delivered the finished paintings and I was really happy with the result. The images fitted perfectly into the frames and the attention to detail was second to none. She brought the paintings to life. Cera’s work is outstanding and I would be more than happy to commission her time again.
I know this is not a wedding related review, but Cera takes pride in all the work she undertakes and so I’m confident in knowing Cera will produce an amazing painting for any bride and groom to cherish forever.

A £5 mirror into a luxurious one of a kind!

I cannot recommend The Shared Canvas enough. I am a very particular person and I am always looking for one of a kind pieces to transform my home with bright, vibrant and original ideas.

My only issue is bringing those ideas in my head to life, in a market where everything is mass produced and samey, or extremely out of budget. I reached out to The Shared Canvas in attempt to project what I had in my mind, and turn it into reality.

I discussed what I wanted, what I envisioned and where the mirror was to go. The Shared Canvas responded very fast, took my ideas on board and requested pictures of the space I intended to hang the mirror to assess the colours, 'POP', shape and general idea of what I wanted.

The service was informative, fast, reasonably priced and the result speaks for itself. It has become the main talking point for that space, and I love that I am the only person with this exact piece of Art.
