Hi, I'm Astha Sethi — The Lady in Town. I'm a live event illustrator based in the UK, and I create hand-painted watercolor and quick monochrome sketches of your guests at weddings, brand events, and celebrations.
There's something special about watching a portrait come to life in real time. I sketch them as they are — in their outfit, in the moment and a few minutes later they walk away with an original piece of art. It's entertainment and a keepsake in one.
WHAT I OFFER
Watercolor Live Sketching
Hand-painted portraits on professional watercolor paper, created live at your event. Rich in colour and detail ideal for weddings and celebrations. Takes about 10-15 mins for each sketch .
Monochrome Live Sketching
Fast, elegant black-and-white sketches completed in just 2-3 minutes each. Perfect for larger gatherings, corporate events, and anywhere you want to reach more guests in less time.
PACKAGES & PRICING
Starting from £460 — my minimum package covers 2–3 hours of live sketching.
Larger packages are available for longer events and bigger guest lists.

Booking terms:
20% deposit required to secure your date
Deposit is non-refundable
Remaining balance due in full a week before your event
📍 WHERE I WORK
I'm based in the UK and cover events nationwide. I'm also happy to travel internationally — travel fees apply for anything outside the UK.
⏰ ON THE DAY
Weddings: I arrive 1 hour before the ceremony to set up and be ready as guests arrive.
Corporate events: I arrive 30 minutes before the event begins.

HOW IT WORKS
Step 1 — Get in touch first
Message me before you book so I can check your date is available.
On Etsy , Instagram or my website
Step 2 — Book your date
Once we've confirmed availability,
Share your venue, timings, or any ideas you have. We'll have a call to go through the details, then I'll send you a contract to sign. If you have a wedding planner or event coordinator, please pass on their contact details.Place your order and pay the 20% deposit to secure it.
Step 3 — The big day
I arrive ahead of time, set up, and start sketching your guests live. I'll be there for the agreed hours in your contract.

❌ CANCELLATIONS
As every booking is reserved exclusively for your date, deposits are non-refundable and I'm unable to offer cancellations or refunds once a date is secured.

Such a special addition to our wedding day!
Throughout the day, Astha created beautiful individual illustrations of our guests, and it was so lovely seeing people watching their drawings come to life. It added something completely different to the wedding and became an experience for our guests as well as giving them something personal to take away afterwards.
Astha is incredibly talented. She managed to capture each person in her own gorgeous illustration style, and we loved seeing the collection of drawings gradually grow as the wedding went on. So many of our guests commented on how brilliant she was and were genuinely excited to receive their finished illustration.
We put so much thought into all the little details of our wedding, particularly the things our guests would experience, and having Astha there fitted into that perfectly. We love knowing that these little illustrations created during our wedding are now sitting in the homes of our friends and family as a really personal reminder of the day.
It was also such a lovely form of entertainment. Guests could stop and watch Astha working throughout the day, see other illustrations being created and then have that excitement of seeing their own finished piece.
