Sophie Sketches Live is a live event illustrator based in Greater Manchester, available for weddings and events nationwide. Artist Sophie Cooke sketches guest portraits using vibrant watercolours, water pens, and glitter pens.

Services Offered

Live art adds a unique interactive element to a couple’s big day as captivated guests and loved ones watch the drawings come to life before their eyes. The process sparks conversation among invitees, boosting the social aspect of the celebration and promoting engaging communication. The finished artistic images make one-of-a-kind mementos of the occasion. Sophie, a creative arts graduate, creates personalised and artistic keepsakes, drawing on her studies of fine art and textile design to produce colourful sketches.

Sophie Sketches Live proposes various packages ranging from three hours of drawing and approximately 20-25 guests sketched to eight hours and between 55 and 60 guests drawn. The artist awaits contact from couples to decide on a suitable artistic package for their wedding day.

What is included in the wedding package?

- Agreed time illustrating (3-8 hours) - A gallery of illustrations that grows as the day goes on - An A5 drawing of choice completed after the event - 20 miles travel included in price

I take bookings up to 18 months in advance

Are you able to travel?

Yes, yorkshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester & Cumbria, but I am willing to travel so please get in touch!

Is there a charge for travelling?

Yes, i include 20 miles travel in my prices, beyond this I charge 50p/mile. Bookings over 2.5 hours drive may require an overnight stay

Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?

Yes, a table and chair, access to a power outlet if I am inside

How long is the act?

Packes range between 3 and 8 hours

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

15-30 minutes

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

Alone

Do you do open-air acts?

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per event

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Yes

How do you charge extra time?

If you would like to add extra hours on the day I charge a fixed hourly rate. If you would like me to continue with illustrations after the day, I will charge a fixed hourly studio rate

What are the forms of payment?

Deposit upon booking, full payment 6 weeks prior to the event. Bank transfer

Guests raved about it all day!

We chose Sophie for our wedding, and what a great choice it turned out to be. Pre event communication was great and booking straightforward. A little something for our guests to take home, we had so many people come up to us and show us how pleased they were with their drawings. Our post event illustration is beautiful and will be treasured forever !! Thank you !!

Lovely pictures

We were very happy with Sophie, she was professional and lovely. The sketches were top quality and many of the guests told us how much they enjoyed them. We’ve got ours framed in the sitting room as a reminder of our special day.

Excellent! Lovely lady and beautiful work

I booked Sophie at the last minute, and what a brilliant decision that turned out to be. Our guests were thrilled with their illustrations and many of them have asked for her contact details. Those who didn’t have a picture done are now regretting it 🤭

I highly recommend Sophie. A live illustrator was a great twist to our reception and worth every penny!
