If your guests include both young and old, you need entertainment that will engage them all. That’s when you want The Somebodys.
With an all-male lineup, The Somebodys are one of Earcandy’s most in-demand acts. The Somebodys perform Rock, Indie and Pop songs from the 1950’s right up until the present day. Having such a wide-ranging set lists gives a variety of the types of songs they can perform, and means they can cover the musical tastes of a mixed age range of guests.
The band has an infectious personality that will engage your guests and help to build excitement throughout their performances. Starting from a three piece band, The Somebodys are perfect for smaller venues where space is a consideration, as well as for larger venues.
Just because The Somebodys are a smaller band, doesn’t mean that their sound can’t pack a punch. Unlike most bands, The Somebodys makes use of production techniques employed by some of the biggest artists in the world. That gives them added weight behind their sound, so compared with a traditional function band, The Somebodys sound bigger, fuller and (we think) better.
We booked The Somebodys through Earcandy to perform at our wedding in August 2018.
About 30 minutes before our first dance and the start of the bands first set, we were informed the drummer had just got-up and left the venue after some sort of argument, abandoning the other 3 members of the band! I initially thought this had to be a joke as I could’t believe anyone could act in such an unprofessional and inconsiderate manner.
While I appreciate the remaining members did their best to muddle through in difficult (self inflicted) circumstances they only played a 25 minute first set, compared to the one hour we had agreed and paid for which left us both feeling extremely short changed.
After this disappointingly short first set, the subsequent disco was ruined while the lights were all turned on so that the new drummer could set-up his equipment and perform a sound-check in the middle of what was meant to be our evening reception.
After the wedding I contacted Earcandy to explain all that had happened and arrange some sort of refund. Although Earcandy were symptrtheic they explained that any refund is the responsibility of the act owner who would contact us to discuss our issues. Nearly 3 months after the wedding and after numerous reminders we still have not heard anything (not even a single email) from the act owner or had any sort of refund.
We paid over £1700 for the ‘Premium Package’ and certainly did not receive a premium experience on the evening or premium customer service subsequently. To anyone else looking for a wedding band I would highly recommend you look elsewhere. This band are poorly managed by an act owner who apparently does not care and extremely expensive compared to other options on the market.
We hired the somebody's for our wedding on the 27th May at herons farm. We Highly recommend this band. They were fantastic and all the guests commented on how fab they were. Our dance floor was packed! If we are ever In need of a band again, would book them again
Prices start from £960 depending on location.
If you book the premier package - most popular for weddings - it automatically includes the band learning your first dance song, selection of the songs they play or do not play, full lighting for your dance floor as well as the band, your very own coordinator and a venue check to ensure all logistical needs are met.
