About Richardson Event Hire

Situated on the border of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire in Malmesbury, Richardson Event Hire have specialised in hiring furniture, tableware and catering equipment for over 20 years.

We cater for all types, sizes and styles of event throughout Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, The Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, West Berkshire, Bath & Bristol.

The team works tirelessly to help you create your vision; hiring tables, chairs, linen, tableware and kitchen equipment, along with dance floor, stage and bars for a complete package.

Remember that we are one of the few companies in the area that include the cleaning costs within your hire charge, meaning there are no hidden charges and no surprise bills after your event.

What is the price of your service?

We offer a range of products to suit every budget, with our standard range starting at 21p. This price is inclusive of cleaning.


What services do you offer?

We hire furniture, tableware, linen and kitchen equipment.

- A wide range of rustic and contemporary furniture- Crockery, cutlery and glassware- Table linen in a variety of colours, shapes and sizes- Kitchen equipment in both LPG and electric options and fridge trailers


Upon contracting your service, you will take care of:

We can do as much or as little as you need. Whether you just need a few glasses or you need your full venue kitted out, we can advise on every aspect of your wedding.


How far in advance should I contact you?

As soon as you can! The sooner you get in touch the more likely we are to have availability!


Do you have a showroom with examples of the setups?

We do! Our showroom in Chelworth is open for you to view our equipment during office hours Monday to Friday. We can also meet you in the evening or on the weekend by appointment.


Do you have an advice service?

Our team in the office is always on hand to offer free, expert advice for your wedding. Whether it's something big or you're organising the little details we're always happy to chat through your ideas and help you figure out what will work best for your plans.


What are the forms of payment?

We can take payment by direct bank transfer, debit & credit card (not AMEX) or cheque.


What areas do you cover?

We cover Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Bristol, Bath and all through the Cotswolds.


How does it all work?

The whole process might seem a bit daunting at first but we are here every step of the way to make it as easy as possible.First things first - get in touch! You can either give us a call, send us an email or fill out the contact form letting us know the outline details of your wedding. Tell us as much as you can - do you have any colour schemes in mind? Which range would you prefer? This helps us to make our quotation specific to you early on. It's OK if you don't know these details yet - we can still provide a quotation to help you get started.Based on the details you provide we will create a personalised estimate. The estimate is broken down to individual items to help you see exactly what you're getting. To secure your booking we then request a 20% deposit. On receipt of this deposit we will send you a full order confirmation.We understand your requirements may change as your plans develop and we can amend the specification as required. We request your final guest numbers around a week before your wedding and the final amendments are made at this stage.


When will you build my marquee?

We normally build on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and dismantle on Mondays and Tuesdays - but that isn't set in stone - we can work to your requirements and restrictions set by your venue, just let us know!


Does my site need to be a perfectly flat field?

No! We know that many sites are not flat open spaces but that isn't a problem. We can provide many solutions to ensure your location is suitable for your wedding.

    They Stood Out

    We cannot praise Richardson’s too highly for the service we received. Of all the people involved in the wedding day, they stood out for their professionalism, their kindness and the level of support they provided. Nothing was too much trouble, however many times our specifications changed. They were prompt and highly efficient in erecting and dismantling the marquee and it looked just perfect on the day. The undoubtedly contributed to making the day as happy as it was.

    Great Service

    Very friendly and helpful. We had plenty of questions and ideas for our marquee and Richardson Marquees went the extra mile every time. Above all it was easy and a great service.

    They were fab

    Richardson’s experience, knowledge (and patience) assisted us greatly in choosing the perfect marquee for our wedding. They were fab from the initial consultation until taking it down – their suggestions made it even better than we’d hoped, can’t thank them or recommend them highly enough. Brilliant!
