Based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, Sparrow & Thistle provides fabric banners and signs for your wedding day. In an attempt to avoid mass-produced, generic, printed decor, Charlotte, a former textile teacher painted her own for her wedding day. It turned out to be a unique piece, leading her to start this company so that other couples can also have “something new”.

Sparrow & Thistle specialises in hand painting, allowing you to create bespoke banners, welcome signs, large menus, and decor pieces for your ceremony or reception. All items are made in Sheffield using only locally sourced cotton fabrics. Each can be customised with your favourite quote or lyric and can be used indoors and outdoors. Since they are hand-crafted, tiny imperfections are bound to be there. But that’s what makes it all the more appealing, as it represents how perfectly imperfect we all are.
