As the owner of Cake Design By Becky, based out of Southampton, Hampshire, I believe everyone should be able to share in the joy of cake! My passion is baking and making wedding and celebration cakes. I also offer dessert tables and fully decorated dessert/sweet cart hire.
I also offer Free-From baking. As someone with experience of food intolerance’s, baking to accommodate different dietary requirements without compromising on taste and texture has become a passion of mine.
I have a 5-star food hygiene rating, level 2 food hygiene training and am food allergen trained. I specialise in catering for food intolerance’s, including (but not limited to) gluten and dairy-free, for NO EXTRA COST. Everyone should have equal opportunity for delicious cake!
I’ve been really touched by the comments I’ve received from clients — especially free-from clients who usually miss out on so much — and have always felt it isn’t fair that people be charged more and penalised for their food intolerance/allergy, which is why I bake all of my gluten and dairy free cakes for absolutely no extra cost.
It has really inspired me to know how much a simple gesture of a cake can mean to people sometimes. It truly does signify more than just a mixture of eggs, sugar, and flour; it is an opportunity to celebrate something or someone special and share in that joyful moment with the people you love.

Exquisite & Delicious
We had the absolute pleasure of using Becky as our wedding cake makers, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the experience! From the very beginning, Becky was fantastic. We were able to sample a wide range of exquisite flavors, and she worked with us to fine-tune everything down to our final three choices. She even took the time to prepare gluten-free cupcakes that matched our wedding cake, ensuring all of our guests could enjoy the same delicious flavors.
On the big day, Becky arrived promptly, and her "cake safe" (which was as impressive as it was intriguing) ensured the cake arrived safely and without a hitch. It's always a worry when transporting such an important piece of the day, so we were so relieved by the care she took. She also liaised with our florist to ensure the cake topper integrated perfectly on the day.
The cake itself was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious. It went down so well that there was nothing left by the end of the night! We received countless compliments on the flavors and choices. Becky truly delivered on every front, and we wouldn't hesitate to use her services again in the future. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Cakes!
We ordered our wedding cake (with extra cupcakes) from Becky recently and the cakes & service we received was absolutely incredible - not only were the cakes delicious, they looked amazing & Becky was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, making sure we were getting exactly what we wanted (which we very much did!)
We were so happy with how the cakes turned out & our guests all absolutely loved them too!

Beautiful Wedding Cake
The wedding cake Becky made for my daughter was stunning, the colours were perfect and the beautiful flowers that Becky sourced for us matched the wedding bouquet perfectly. Becky advised us on the fresh flowers that were safe to use as decorations and of course the cake tasted delicious. It was everything my daughter was hoping for and more.

Outstanding Experience
We chose to use Becky due to her gluten-free options available and we can't recommend her enough! We have already put another order in for another celebration!
The options available, flexibility and consultation periods were a delight - we felt that we had full-scope to be as creative as we wanted.
The result was phenomenal - cake looked and tasted amazing, got so many compliments from guests and staff!

The best wedding cake supplier in the south
Becky's wedding cakes for our wedding day were beyond fantastic. Very competitively priced and worth every penny.
Flavours provided for our 3 tier cake were:
White chocolate and raspberry
Lemon and elder flower
Blackcurrant and orange
They were all decorated to an exceedingly high standard, with real flowers for our cakes sourced by Becky.
Becky's gluten free options are fantastic also, you cannot notice the difference in the change of ingredients which is a difficult feat to master.
Besides the cake, Becky herself was exceptionally easy to deal with and very accommodating to any need we had and strict to budget with her options.
We must add that we required a cake at very short notice (6 weeks) and Becky still managed to produce a masterpiece.
The cakes were so good we even served them as our wedding desert and every guest commented on just how good they were!
So If you are looking for a wedding cake that will be remembered as much as your special day, then Becky is your person.
A very bright future ahead no questions asked!

Our Dream Wedding Cake
Becky designed and made the wedding cake and favours for our wedding in July 2024 and we could not have dreamed for a more perfect centrepiece for our special day! The cake was a three-tier combination of lemon & elderflower and white chocolate & raspberry, and the favours were hexagonal biscuits with a personalised stamp. Becky’s professionalism and creativity were equally as brilliant as her gluten-free cake and favours and her communication and attention to detail was above and beyond. Becky also used our unique stationary artwork as inspiration for the cake and favour designs which was hugely impressive and made everything extra special. Every stage from the first consultation to delivering the cake to our wedding venue was done so smoothly and without fault. Becky even stepped up to source compliant flowers for our cake decoration when our florist was unable to do so. We could not have wished for anyone better than Becky and we will forever be recommending and using her for any future cakes!

Perfectly beautiful and deliciously GF
I had the absolute pleasure of choosing Becky as our wedding cake supplier, & she did the most fantastic job. She followed the brief to a T, was extremely polite & friendly, & was VERY responsive to my many, many messages! I even got the pleasure of meeting her in person on the actual day & she was so lovely! I am so grateful I chose her, & that she remained flexible & understanding at all times. Our guests absolutely raved about our cake (& had no idea it was GF!) It still tasted amazing days following the event, & we look forward to having another slice on our 1 year anniversary!!! Thank you again so much Becky, you outdid yourself xxxx it was exactly what I wanted & I am so happy with the results

Professional - Perfect
Our wedding cake, accompanying tray bakes and cupcakes were absolutely perfect! The design fitted our theme beautifully. The flavors were delicious. Everyone loved it, we had limited leftovers and it was a wonderful addition to our special day. Highly recommend!

Amazing Cake
Becky was fantastic from start to finish. She came up with a far more beautiful cake than we could have imagined. We also needed a dairy and gluten free cake which is not easy to do. We were struggling to find a supplier when we stumbled across Becky. The cake would so good nobody knew it was gluten and dairy free. We also got some cookies done for a barbecue the day before which were perfect. Would highly recommend!
