A really enjoyed the experience of choosing my dress with Katie, she made the whole experience so memorable for me, my mam and mother in law to be! She picked out dresses that she knew I would love based on the questionnaire and tailored them perfectly as we went through them ruling things out! I can’t thank Katie enough for her time and energy making the shopping experience so wonderful.

Sadly I didn’t have quite the same experience when collecting my dress. The shop had emailed me a few times to let me know it had arrived, but they were filtering into my junk as an unrecognised sender so I wasn’t seeing them! I of course had outstanding monies to pay, along with actually collecting my dress and the tone got gradually more upset with me for not responding to previous emails that I wasn’t seeing. Rather than contact me via different means like phone or text, they just kept email which kept meaning I wasn’t seeing them and was none the wiser that my dress was sat there waiting for me the whole time! I apologised profusely after realising what had happened by pure fluke of me searching for Laura May Bridal to try and recall if they’d given an approximate date which is when I saw all the emails! Sadly they were less and receptive to this and forced me in within 48 hours to collect it else they threatened to return it. I rushed in on the 23rd December to make sure I could get it, paid the balance within seconds as realising the emails had been getting lost but sadly when I went to try on my very own dress with my MoH, I was greeted to a frosty reception by what I believe was the owner who clearly just didn’t want to deal with me and wanted to close down for Christmas. She basically threw the dress on me, kept reminding me that she wanted to close early and although there was an appointment slot available after mine for 1.5 hours it must not have been filled because I was rushed in and out within 30 minutes, barely a chance to look at it on and show my MoH who hadn’t seen the dress the first time and then was basically thrown out the door so the store could close.
A less than magical experience the second time around and not only ruined my whole excitement for the dress collection, ruined my MoH’s experience at the store and put a full damper on Christmas because it was just such a rushed, forced and grumpy interaction.

Katie was amazing and we got on like a house on fire and I know the other ladies who came in during my first dress fitting were also wonderful and so kind about how I looked in my dress. Sadly it seems that the owner is just about making money and is too far removed to remember that this is supposed to be one of the most special times of someone’s lives.
My advice would be don’t book a dress that will come in around Christmas time and check your emails every single day just in case they get lost because you won’t be contacted any other way sadly.

My dress was stunning though, I just wish this experience wasn’t dampened.

I had a wonderful experience with Laura May Bridal and would absolutely recommend them to future brides. The selection of dresses is beautiful, and the service throughout the process was fantastic. A special mention to Amy, who made our appointment such a lovely experience and helped make finding my dress feel really special.

My dress is absolutely stunning, and I couldn't have been happier with how it looked on our wedding day.

The only reason I'm not giving a full five stars is because there were a few additional costs that I wasn't fully aware of when I first purchased my dress. Laura May Bridal doesn't offer in-house alterations, so I ended up spending an additional £300 on tailoring elsewhere. There was also a charge for storing the dress at the boutique. Neither of these costs would stop me recommending them, but I think it's helpful for future brides to be aware of the full cost involved from the outset.

That said, the quality of the dresses and the service provided were excellent, and I'm so grateful for all the help I received. Thank you to Amy and the team for helping me find the perfect dress for such a special day.

I attend Laura May Bridal in Cardiff City Center (Morgan's Arcade shop) last Tuesday, and I could thank you girls enough for the experience they provided me and my family during our time there. I booked the 3 hour appointment which is one of the option they provide, and lets just say i wasn't disappointed at any point during my time. I had the lovely consultant Anwen for my appointment and she was amazing, so kind and warming and made me feel completely comfortable during the hole experience. She listened and asked about my style, I also showed her examples of the style I like and within a few minutes she returned with some of the exact dresses i had showed her but also a few wildcards which did suprise me, I will admit.

She made me feel so comfortable during the hole appointment especially as I am not an individual who usually wears dresses, but with her help and support I was able to find my dream dress for my Wedding next year. I can't thank the staff enough and Anwen in particular.

I just had write this review as this place was outstanding! I had visited a few shops before visiting Laura May and they were all great! The service I received at Laura May however was above and beyond. The variety of dresses was incredible but Mim chose a selection based on our chat and was so patient and listened so carefully that when I asked her to choose me a wild card it ended up being THE dress, I would never have chosen it if I had not tried it on - it was everything I wanted and more. Verity helped us on my second appt for my Mum to see the dress and she was so helpful (they did not need to offer me this extra one, but I am so grateful) and set the tone perfectly and gave me more ideas and suggestions for veils, alterations etc - it was as special as the first appointment that had already set the bar so high!

I bought my wedding dress here in December 2024 our my wedding in October 2025. I had already visited 3-4 other shops and had liked some different elements of dresses in those stores, but it wasn't until I visited Laura May Bridal that I felt like someone was actually listening to what I wanted.

I told the person who helped me what I liked about each dress I had seen and they went through their stock and found a dress that encapsulated everything I loved about the ones I had seen. It was so fitting to my personality, nothing too flashy and very minimal.

The service was great and I highly recommend them.

I attended the Laura May Bridal outlet and was met by the wonderful Shauna - unfortunately the outlet store had very limited plus size options but Shauna went above and beyond and contacted the main store in Cardiff for us to visit there on the same morning to try on some dresses. The team didn't hesitate within an hour I was in the most beautiful store with thousands of gorgeous dresses and size options and put into the gorgeous Amethyst room where Felicity gave us a prosecco and let is browse our options. I was lucky enough to find my dream dress and buy it off the rail that day! The whole team was fantastic. Being a curvy girl I had dreaded the wedding dress shopping idea after reading some horror stories and worried if I would have many options...at Laura May Bridal they had soooo much for me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I had to share my amazing experience at Laura May on the 28/06/25! We all felt so welcome from the moment we walked in! Instantly gave us all a choice of drink and was able to have a look at the dresses. They were all absolutely beautiful gowns I may add. The room and set up for trying on dresses was stunning, Abbie was amazing and made me feel so comfortable while trying on the dresses. She really took her time picking the dresses and I felt she really listened to what we all said and managed to pick the most amazing stunning dress for me. I walked away so happy and so in love with my dress already. Thank you to all the girls that worked there! Everyone was so lovely and smiling all the time. Thank you all so much for making this experience so amazing!!!

Being a wedding musician myself, I wanted to try and use local suppliers for my big day. I have met the team at Laura May Bridal a few times at various wedding showcase events and thought I would give their outlet store a try.

It was the only bridal store I went to and came out very happy with my wedding dress. They have various sale offers throughout the year and was totally worth popping in for an appointment to just “have a look”.

I wasn’t sure what I wanted to wear for my wedding, I knew what style of dresses I preferred wearing when performing on the harp but I didn’t know if I wanted something similar to what I know works for me normally.

The sales assistant was extremely helpful and made me feel at ease especially when I was getting a little overwhelmed with not knowing where to begin. I can’t thank the team enough for helping me find my beautiful wedding dress.

I went in to my appointment knowing I'd already bought my dress, but, as it was the first one I'd tried on, couldn't believe it could be that easy. I had a great time choosing dresses that were outside of my comfort zone and then... the last dress I tried on..... was so perfect and beautiful that I had THE moment with it, and just knew. The lady working gave me all the time and space to consider everything and even managed to knock a bit more of the price off as I text my father and father in law to be to ask if I could borrow the money. LM kept the dress overnight for me and I popped round to collect it the following morning and pay. It was a delightful experience. Thank you.

Customer service is appalling dresses are damaged and the staff & management are aggressive.
I would not recommend anyone shop here especially such a big purchase on the most special day. They will lie to you and hassle you via email & phone .

I had such a wonderful time choosing my dress at Laura May Bridal. The experience surpassed my expectations and I didnt feel rushed or awkward. Amy was so lovely and knew exactly which dresses to pull. I wish I could do it all again!
