Went to see the ladies just to see if there was anything I liked .
I loved the dress I picked it was something that I never thought I would get for my budget.
The ladies were fantastic they were both lovely, helpful and couldn't do anything more for me. I felt so special at ease.
I've just had my first fitting today with the seamstress and found her so helpful. She explained how the dress needed to be altered to fit my body and also suggested changes I'd like to make and how these could be added. I'd definitely recommend these ladies if you're looking for a wedding dress.

I visited previously to discuss finding my dream dress. The lady, emma was absolutely lovely at the time I left feeling positive and excited, had nothing but lovely things to say about it. I ended up finding it elsewhere, however, I felt it needed a small alteration, so I continued speaking to Emma in regards to bringing it it, so the seamstress could take a look at my dress and give me a quote. I returned to the shop a few nights ago. With my very young daughter, who was so excited to visit the shop also. The atmosphere was worlds apart, nobody spoke to me, or my little girl. I got a hello and awkward smile, that’s it. I was in shock. I was sent to put my dress on, I felt so beautiful. I had a big smile excited to walk out with my dress on, when I did I was met with a cold response. Everyone was completely silent. Nobody complimented me or my dress, just stared at me awkwardly. I’ve never wanted to leave a place so bad. To make matters worse the seamstress came over to look at my dress, and proceeded to point out all wrong with it. Really drilling in how it’s been put together “strange” and “unusual”. Please keep in mind it’s over £1000 dress so I fail to see how it’s been put together so hideously. I felt so anxious standing there, in a silent room as they picked on my dress. her and the owner talked amongst themselves about where material should be added, without asking me if I’d like that? I was absolutely blown away by this experience, and the seamstress attitude was disgusting. The only time she actually spoke to me was in regards to a bra. They made me feel humiliated. I understand I didn’t buy my dress from their shop, but surely it’s still your job to build people up and make them feel beautiful? I suppose that’s only if they’re spending their money at your shop? I cried the whole way home, then messaged Emma privately to discuss how upset I was about what they had just done. I was met with a condescending response, her basically saying what happened never happened. Apparently they did call my dress beautiful. Which never happened once, never even called it nice, at the very least. I replied telling her not to patronise me and that I was there and I understand what happened. She ignored me. Of course she did, as she knows herself they were out of order. Wouldn’t recommend this shop to my worst enemy. Every bride deserves to feel beautiful, they ruined that for me. absolutely do not go to this shop, I’d hate them to do this to another poor bride to be.

I visited Emma on a Sunday afternoon with my best woman and another friend. I'm not a svelte skinny minx, to say the least, so was understandably a touch nervous. I needn't have worried! Emma was kind and patient and nothing was too much trouble.
I tried on many different styles of dress and nothing was quite right until I was made aware the dresses could be altered and a seamstress I had previously been in contact with would customise it as I wanted.
That was a game-changer and with Emma's fantastic help (and input from my 'gang'), my perfect dress began to be created!
My only stumbling block (or so I thought) would be the cost. When Emma gave me the price. I asked if she had missed a 1 from the front, but no, it really was less than £500!!
I am camera-phobic so when I say I was happy my friends were taking photos, you know I was really being made to look and feel beautiful.
When the dress arrived, Emma had it delivered to the seamstress and the second part of my wonderful dress journey began. Bex was amazing; she saw where I was coming from and her suggestions improved on my vision. The finished dress makes me look and feel amazing and my husband-to-be's jaw dropped when he saw me at the altar. EVERYONE complimented how I looked throughout the process and on the big day.
I would thoroughly recommend Emma; my best woman also bought her dress from Ivy Rose and is looking forward to it altered to a cocktail dress after the wedding.

So friendly and accommodating especially for plus sized women maybe feeling self conscious- would recommend to everyone
