Hi! I'm Ruby!
I have been offering make up, hair and beauty treatments for nearly 10 years and have a passion for making everyone I work with look and (more importantly) feel their best in the skin they are in.

I am so full of love for the job that I get to do, I do feel privileged to be able to use the skills I have honed to make an impact on a daily basis right up to one of the most important days of women's lives - their wedding day!

My passion that continues to drive my love of what I do is the transformative effect I see taking place day in and day out. I am a firm believer of using make up, hairstyling and beauty treatments as a form of therapy, to boost your mood, self-esteem, build confidence & harness that incredible power that we all have inside.

In my personal life, I am a mama to 2 little girls and my French Bulldog, Frank. I live with my partner and am actually in the process of wedding planning myself, although we are taking our time - It has become a bit of a running joke actually!

I like to think I'm one of life's listeners... one of the beautiful parts about my job is getting to meet people from all walks of life. A good day for me is one where I have worked doing what I love, come home to spend time with my family and put my feet up with a cup of tea at the end of the day!

What is the charge for travelling?

The first 10 miles of any return journey from my address are covered by me. Anything above that is charged at 50p per mile. Any accommodation and parking costs must be covered

What is your main business area?

Make up

Could you stay with the bride until the photo shoot?

Yes

How many people can you beautify for one wedding?

Anywhere from 1 - 8 people depending on timing restrictions. However I have a team of trusted hair and make up artists that I can call upon to assist me in larger weddings. No booking is too big!

Can you provide your beauty services for pre-wedding and post-wedding photography?

Yes

Ruby was absolutely incredible on my wedding day!
She is the most kind, friendly, and welcoming woman, and truely amazing at her job! Ruby had her work cut out on the day with make up for 5 bridesmaids, the mother of the bride and then my hair and make up to get done too, but she smashed it and everyone looked stunning, and with time to spare!
I would absolutely recommend Ruby and her services, she knows her stuff and I hope our paths cross again in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unnecessary stress 😩

Ruby was booked a year in advance, didn't hear from her took the money then a few months before my wedding cancelled on me due to a family event. Not what any bride needs or wants when planning a wedding is stressful enough.

Bridal hair and makeup wizard

Ruby is an expert hair and makeup artist who is incredible at making you look and feel like the best version of yourself. Ruby did hair and makeup for my wedding and we had a trial beforehand where she really listened to the style I wanted and then expertly brought it to life. She uses excellent products and was really helpful with telling me what I should do in the lead up to the wedding too. On the day itself, Ruby ensured everything was seamless for me, my mum and my four bridesmaids - it was a wonderfully relaxed morning and we all felt beautiful and the hair and make up remained flawless throughout the day and into the evening even through the happy tears and dancing! I have never received so many compliments before and she really worked wonders in bringing my boho bridal vision to life. She played a huge part in making me feel my best on my wedding day and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ruby for any special occasion - she is a delight to work with, an all round lovely human, and a hair and makeup wizard! Thank you Ruby!

First class experience

Ruby was absolutely amazing, I cannot recommend her enough. She was very professional, helpful, fun, kind and a brilliant communicator. She was flexible in finding a time and date that worked well for my hair and make up trial, and then after I gave feedback on how the hair and make up felt after a day wearing it, she made some fantastic suggestions about how to make it even better for the wedding day. On the morning of my wedding she arrived very early, which was reassuring, and generally made the getting ready process really fun. I highly recommend!

Very friendly

I was nervous at first to do hair and makeup how it will come out as I didn't do trail with her but it was worth it. Hair and makeup was how I expected, even better. Usually iam very shy person who doesn't open up with new people but I was so calm and comfortable with her.

The most amazing MUA

Ruby did my makeup for my friend's wedding in 2017 and when it came to choosing the makeup artist for my own wedding, I knew there was no other option for me. Ruby instantly puts you at ease and listens to what's important to you on the day. She was amazing all morning whilst we were getting ready and made me feel confident so that I could enjoy my wedding day.

Perfect wedding hair and make up

From the first contact I had with Ruby she was just brilliant. Ruby has a way of putting you at ease and she made me feel so comfortable. She listened to all the ideas I had and all the things I was concerned about and made my wedding vision come to life. I’m very fair and don’t really wear make up so was worried about looking over done and unnatural, Ruby totally understood this and put the most natural look together for me. It was so lovely to have her be part of our special day, it was such a relaxed morning even though she had 3 children’s hair to get done as well as mine and my maid of honours. She made me feel so beautiful for my special day and my hair and make up lasted perfectly all day. I can’t wait to use Ruby again for my next special event.

Ruby is a dream- book her now!

I couldn’t recommend Ruby enough for your wedding hair & makeup. I was lucky enough to have Ruby do mine plus 6 bridesmaids hair for my wedding and she was just amazing. Not only is she a gorgeous human- inside and out- that will make you feel so relaxed on the day but leading up to the wedding, everything was so organised, clear communication throughout and most importantly, I trusted her entirely with my hair vision. She brought my wedding hair dreams to life :)

Highly recommend

Ruby was amazing from the trial all the way too the wedding day. She listened to my wants and got it right first time. Wedding hair and makeup

Ruby did an amazing job of my hair and makeup on my wedding day! 😊 She is so friendly, warm and professional and really put me at ease on the day. I also had a hair and makeup trial with Ruby prior to this, where Ruby took time to help me choose the perfect make up and hair style which I was really happy with! On the day my hair and makeup was just what I wanted and it lasted so well the whole night! I had also bought hair extensions which Ruby put in effortlessly and they felt really natural too 😊. So impressed by Ruby’s talent and skills!

Phenomenal

Ruby was an absolute dream. My hairdresser had to pull out a few days before as she had covid and the stars completely aligned with Ruby being available. Ruby was an absolute pleasure to be part of my wedding day and the girls hair looked unreal. Thank you so much!!!
