Wedding Makeup Review for Rachel
On the wedding morning, Rachel was so much more than a makeup artist — she was a calming, reassuring, and supportive presence. She made the whole getting-ready process feel relaxed and joyful, and her warmth instantly put me at ease.
The makeup itself was absolutely flawless. It enhanced my features beautifully, looked stunning in person and in photos, and lasted perfectly all day and night — through tears, laughter, endless hugs, and dancing. I never once needed a touch-up, which is exactly what every bride dreams of.
What meant the most to me, though, was how Rachel went above and beyond. She didn’t just finish my makeup and leave — she stayed to help me into my dress and made sure I felt completely ready before I walked out the door. That extra level of care and kindness is something I’ll never forget.
Rachel is an artist in every sense of the word, but she’s also one of the loveliest people you could hope to have by your side on such an important day. I felt radiant, confident, and truly beautiful, and I owe so much of that to her.

Had lots of knowledge on hair and makeup and choosing the correct tones for my skin. She listened to what I would like and came up with some amazing ideas. We had a great laugh.
Wedding day - it was so lovely to have her there whilst getting ready. Makeup and hair was amazing for us all. From the beginning through emails, Rachel was kind, professional and communicated effectively. Once meeting her for my trial, I instantly felt all anxiety leave and knew I could trust her to do my makeup for my wedding. Rachel was able to talk me through everything, listened to any feedback and made changes quickly.
On my actual wedding day she was fabulous and didn't add any stress to the day, I had someone else present to do hair and she was also very good at working alongside her so that everybody got their job done with ease. I also must commend her on working with my mum, who had not put a full face of makeup on herself since she was 18, she loved the experience and also loved her makeup.

Amazing makeup artist

Rachel was so relaxing on the morning of even with not great lighting to deal with and made my bridesmaid and I feel really relaxed on the day. Joy to have her be part of it and for a bride who is awful at doing her own make up the look felt like me and gave me tips and colours I can still use in future. Lots of compliments on the dance floor as well about how my eyeshadow made my eyes shine all evening!

I don’t know how she kept her cool with me at first because I was so unsure of what I wanted and details kept changing, but Rachel was super compassionate and supportive, I couldn’t have been in better hands.
I very rarely wear make up and Rachel was very understanding at my trial in August when I wanted to change a few things up on the big day in December. From start to finish, Rachel was not difficult to approach or get in touch with - Rachel is by far the best choice for hair and make up on your special day.
There were 11 of us having hair and make up done on the day and Rachel organised everyone, made a detailed timeline, bought in extra support to make the morning run smoothly and made sure that I had everything I needed in my touch up kit to get me through the day. My make up was light, I could barely tell it was on. It lasted all day and I didn’t even need to use my touch up kit. For someone who doesn’t wear make up (and certainly doesn’t know how to apply it!) this look and feel was absolutely amazing.
Rachel kept giving me amazing tips and tricks throughout our morning together, she worked really well with my photographer to coordinate the best getting ready shots and she stayed with me right until I was about to walk down the aisle.
Do yourself favour and hire Rachel for your big day - I promise you, you won’t regret it! X

Away from the world of weddings, I absolutely love rollercoasters and would happily spend all my days off at a Theme Park. I also love everything Disney, and am currently counting down the days to my next trip to Disneyland Paris in October 2025.
I'm a keen runner, and currently training for a 10k before starting training for a half marathon next year. Yes, I'm that girl who checks her Strava stats before she's even made it home...
I'm a musical lover and have seen practically every show in the West End (if I wasn't a make-up artist, I like to think I'd be on stage belting out 'Defying Gravity' - although my old singing teacher would probably disagree).
My Spotify playlist is filled with Taylor Swift, Flight of the Concords, Lily Allen and Lana Del Rey (depending on my mood), and I also love listening to the Mel Robbins Podcast - I was the top 0.5% of listeners to her podcast on Spotify last year..! My only ask, is please don't put me in charge of music on your wedding morning! It will be a mix Disney, musicals, McFly or whatever songs my kids are currently into...
