The Head Stylist and Lead Makeup Artist have over 20 years of experience in professional Wedding Hair styling and Makeup application. They are fully supported by a talented team of over 20 Senior and Junior Makeup Artists and Hairstylists, which makes them the perfect fit for LGBTQ+ weddings and large wedding parties.

Services Offered

Barnet + Boatrace use a variety of beauty shelfie favourites, such as premium makeup from Huda, Danessa Myricks, Mii Cosmetics, Charlotte Tilbury, Osis, Bedhead by Tigi, to name but a few. The products used are always customised for each clients skin and hair type. Whether your hair needs more volume (or less frizz!), this team has got it all under control.

Their skills and expertise, coupled with their calm nature, ensure your wedding day runs smoothly and to schedule.

Mum's the word if you have high-maintenance mothers or bridesmaids with bubbas. This hair and makeup team is skilled at making your wedding morning memorable—for all the right reasons.

A Hair and Makeup Preview is not essential; however, it is recommended 2 - 3 months before your big day. Prices typically include the following:

  • Your own Wedding Hair and Makeup Co-ordinator throughout your wedding planning
  • Full consultation and Preview either in person or via video call with the same Hair Stylist and Makeup Artist
  • Premium quality makeup and hair products used (including those suitable for Vegans)
  • The latest styling tools such as GHD, Cloud Nine, Dyson hair pins, grips brushes, etc
  • Woman-owned

What is included in the wedding package?

Full consultation. 1 - 4 professionals depending on your booking size. A range of makeup brands including for vegans and clients with sensitive skin, GHd's, Dyson hairdryers and Babyliss curlers

How far in advance should I contact you?

The sooner the better. However, if it's a last minute thing it's always worth getting in touch to see if we have availability

Do you work at homes?

Yes

What is the charge for travelling?

50p per mile outside of the first 10 miles from the Stylists and Makeup Artists home address. We always encourage car sharing to keep the travel cost down as well as saving the environment!

What is your main business area?

Make up

Could you stay with the bride until the photo shoot?

Yes

How many people can you beautify for one wedding?

The sky is the limit! We are used to same sex weddings or large wedding parties and quite often have a squad of 4 (2 Makeup Artists and 2 Hair Stylists) so that you don't have to start too early

Can you provide your beauty services for pre-wedding and post-wedding photography?

Yes

Excellent- 100% reccomend!

Olga and the whole team at Barnet & Boatrace were exceptional for both hair and makeup for my wedding. Really great customer service and communication throughout, from the very first stage of my enquiry. They were incredibly flexible for everything I needed including changes in the number of bridesmaid/guests requested for hair, and even location when we had our accommodation cancelled with 1 month to go! I'm not someone who usually has hair & makeup done but they were very helpful and guided me with recommendations ensuring I was happy and comfortable with their work. On the day itself, they were all on time and everything went smoothly and the photos afterwards lok amazing thanks to their expertise. Would definitely reccomend!

Wedding hair and make up

Barnet and Boatrace were so lovely, relaxed and had the best advice. Their communication from beginning to end was thorough, helpful and professional. I was extremely pleased with my hair and make up and it lasted all day. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will definitely be using them again for future events.

Highly recommend!

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Olga who done the make up for my bridesmaids and mother of the groom on our wedding day. Olga was so lovely and was quick to respond to messages! Olga kept in contact throughout the planning process and was happy to adapt to changes along the way. We were very happy we chose Olga and that she was part of our morning. Very professional and highly recommend!

Hair and Makeup by the loveliest team

Olga and her team did mine and my wedding parties makeup for my wedding back in June. Straight from the go they were great, from the initial email to their portal which was so handy!! We had a big group of bridesmaids, mothers/mother in law and a very short time to get ready due to the time allowed on sight and the time of the ceremony but Olga made it work with her team and everyone was done and ready in time looking beautiful.

The ladies were all so lovely, made all of us feel really comfortable and just added to the fun morning vibe. Plus everyone looked beautiful and there was not a hair out of place, even by the end of the night with all the dancing!

Charley ( Caz did hair )

Olga was amazing with communication and ensured everything was perfect on the build up too our special wedding. Caz arrived perfect timing on the day, with a very early start as we were getting married early! Myself, my mum and my maid of honour were so so pleased with our hair. Really couldn’t fault a thing. Caz had finished all of our hair and final touches but she was so willing and stayed to help with anything we needed including helping me into my dress and making sure we were all sorted. Olga and Caz are such lovely people and I feel so lucky to have that included into our perfect wedding day. I would highly highly recommend!!xxxx

The most perfect hair & make up

I am so pleased I chose Barnet and Boatrace to do the hair and make up for myself and bridesmaids - the girls were incredible. I felt totally confident in them and they were a pleasure to have around in the morning. I’ve never felt so special. The make up was just beautiful and stayed on all day and I’ve had so many compliments about my hair, it was stunning!

Fantastic company!

I couldn't have been happier with my hair for the wedding, thanks to my amazing hairdresser, Leanne, via Barnet & Boatrace! She was incredibly lovely and professional, making the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. I absolutely loved my hair and received so many compliments throughout the day.

Exceptional!

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my wedding day hair and makeup. Olga and Tandee are phenomenal and even without a trial it turned out exactly how I had imagined, better than in fact! It was a boiling hot day, but my makeup and hair didn’t budge and I felt just as beautiful at the end of the night as I did just after having it done. Thank you so much :)

Couldn’t recommend them enough

I’d highly recommend Olga and the team at Barnet & Boatrace. Despite just being a part of one (me) they still made me feel valued. Lead up was super organised, we had a video call in lieu of a trial to discuss what I wanted and they were great checking that their products would be suitable for my sensitive skin. Jaimee and Millie completely understood what I was after and made me feel the absolute best version of myself. Both makeup and hair even survived rain, wind, tears and hours of dancing. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

Friendly, responsive, professional and able to work with big groups

We booked Barnet & Boatrace as they were recommended to us and they did not disappoint.
Olga and the team were always quick to respond, and their online invoicing system was easy to use.
On the day we had two brides, 8 bridesmaids and two mother of the brides, so despite a 1pm ceremony time we were worried about being up at the crack of dawn but olga bought a team of 5 who started at 8 and had most of us done by 12!
They did touch-ups for everyone and were very accommodating of re-dos of one of the brides.
N.B. One of our bridesmaids is a self declared “curly gurl” and they smashed it!

Wedding service joy

Massive thank you to Olga and Tandee!

Against all odds our hair and make up lasted until the end of the party! And I say against all odds because I danced until the DJ turned the music off and you can imagine how much we sweat hahahaha

The hair and make up were intact until the end! Also, and more importantly, it looked beautiful!

You (Olga&Tandee) were amazing, calm, accommodating, professional, fun... we cannot thank you enough!

What a wonderful time it was and how amazing you made us look! And the ladies in our families as well!

Hair and makeup

Olga and her team were amazing! Kind and professional throughout my experience with them. Always quick to reply to emails and put me at ease thoughtout my hair and makeup trial. Nothing was too much trouble and they easily accommodated my large bridal party! Everyone loved their hair and makeup! They were calm, quick and efficient on my wedding morning and I highly recommend them!

Amazing Service, thank you!

I am so grateful to Olga and her team, when my previously booked suppliers cancelled last minute Olga couldn't do enough to help me. Within 24 hours she'd managed to find a hair stylist & makeup artist to do my wedding. Jo & Leanne were amazing, they arrived on time and did an amazing job. All of the bridal party looked stunning. They made what could have been a stressful build up on my wedding morning a really fun and chilled affair. Thank you so much!

I started my professional makeup journey in 2004 after joining Richard Bransons' skincare and cosmetics company Virgin Vie. I had a passion for all things makeup and before social media took off this was a great way for me to learn the basics of skincare and cosmetics.

I quickly grew my customer base and commonly got asked if I did bridal makeup so saw a niche in the market and trained with the company to do bridal makeup and haven't looked back since.

I have had various roles within local hair salons in Bournemouth, Ringwood and Westbourne expanding my knowledge by attending workshops at TONI&GUY and Wella in London. After having my daughter in 2008 I focussed my skills on my main passion which is wedding hair.
