Our quality of artistry and level of service have been recognised at The Wedding Industry Awards 2025, being awarded East of England Hair Artists of the Year 2025. We provide a bespoke, luxury wedding hair design and makeup artistry service covering the UK, but located in and around Beds, Herts and Cambs. With over 15 years of experience, sisters Helen and Rachel and their extneded team of handpicked freelance artists will work with you to create your perfect wedding day vision.

We offer highly tailored client care and exceptional attention to detail, supporting you through your wedding planning journey and being on hand right until the moment you leave to take your first steps down the aisle. - Bridal hair & makeup on the day luxe service, with Bridal design and trial appointments a few months before your big day
- Hair & makeup artistry for all your Bridal party (from Maid of Honours, to Bridesmaids, adults to little ones, Mums and Grandmothers, our small but perfectly formed, caring and creative team can cater for many of your nearst and dearest
- Romantic low buns, modern french twists, Hollywood waves, soft glam waves, stylish half-ups are a contant part of our repetoire
- All hair and makeup services are provided using the highest quality products, with our kit full of Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, NARS, Dior, Chanel, Hourglass, Laura Mercier makeup, alongside Moroccan Oil, Maria Nila, Tigi, Loreal Professional Techni Art hair styling collections
- Our most requested makeup looks are natural but elevated versions of our clients (they feel like them selves but on their best day), the softest of soft glams, glowing in all the right places, applied for longevity, yet never heavy, delicately enhanced using individual lashes (for that "doesn't she have amazing lashes?" but that don't look fake kind of vibe)
- And always very cared for with our team of experts, who are there to support you, be your cheerleaders, not overbearing, and strike the balance of fun and calming for the best morning preparations and set up for the whole wedding day.

What is included in the wedding package?
Our Luxe Bridal hair & makeup package for 2025/6 is £340 on the day, plus optional trial. Our wedding service includes 2.5 hours of Bridal hair & makeup with a Senior Artistic Directors plus top ups
How far in advance should I contact you?
As soon as you have your wedding date and venue confirmed. The sooner the better as we get enquiries 18-24 months in advance, and we hate to turn you down
Do you work at homes?
Yes
What is the charge for travelling?
50p per mile return to your chosen location. We're based in and around Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Cambridgeshire, but regularly travel to Buckinghamshire, Northants, Cotswolds & beyond
What is your main business area?

Could you stay with the bride until the photo shoot?
Yes
How many people can you beautify for one wedding?
We have a small hand-selected team of freelance Bridal specialist hair & makeup artists, so with advance notice we can easily cater for up to 20 services (i.e. Bride plus 9 all having hair & makeup)
Can you provide your beauty services for pre-wedding and post-wedding photography?
Yes
What are the forms of payment?
Online card payments via our secure online invoicing system. Bank transfer, or cash. We request £50 deposit to secure the booking, the trial amount at time of trial & final balance 2 weeks before

Belles of the ball!
Helen was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. I don’t usually wear much makeup, so I wanted a fairly natural look for my wedding day, and after having my trial, I knew I was in the best hands. Helen listened carefully to what I wanted and was so attentive to every little detail, making sure I felt completely comfortable and that my hair and makeup were exactly how I had imagined.
The additional makeup artist, Hannah, was equally amazing. They both put 100% into making sure not only me, but the whole bridal party, felt relaxed, looked beautiful and were completely happy with our hair and makeup. They were both so friendly, professional and attentive throughout the morning, which made the whole experience feel so special.
If you’re looking for makeup artists who will capture your natural beauty, listen to exactly what you want, and are incredibly supportive and passionate about what they do, I couldn’t recommend Alexander Wedding Belles highly enough. They were a huge part of making me feel special, relaxed and completely myself on my wedding day.

Felt so gorgeous!
Couldn't be happier with how my hair and make up looked on my wedding day. Helen and Rachel really are a dream team!
During my trial Helen was so adaptable when I changed my mind and went back and forth on what I wanted. I don't often wear make up and knew I wanted a natural, glowy look, but to still feel special and beautiful; she got it just right! I didnt want anything complicated for my hair, however I was worried just having it down might look a bit boring, but the way Helen curled and styled my natural hair with the clip in extensions looked gorgeous. My natural hair is very thin so I'm really glad I went with the extensions to add some volume. Helen blended them in so well that no one could tell, and it stayed voluminous and bouncy all day. I still felt like myself, but an elevated version!
My bridesmaids were also so happy with how Rachel did their hair and make up.
The morning of they were both so amazing and efficient, sticking to the timeline without making me, my 3 bridesmaids and my 3 flower girls feel rushed. I was a bundle of nerves the morning of my wedding but Rachel and Helens warmth, chattines, and fun but calm energy put me right at ease.
I got so many compliments on my hair and make up, which stayed put all day! One guest told me my make up looked like 'the artist had studied my facial features for hours' because it sat so perfectly on me.

Exactly what we asked for!
They provided fantastic service from the start! Rachel and Helen made my bridal party and I feel so comfortable and chilled on the morning of my wedding. We never felt rushed and they stuck to timings perfectly, including a change of venue during. Our hair and makeup was flawless and lasted all day (my hair stayed in for the whole of the following day too!). They listened carefully to all of our individual needs and preferences and we were so pleased with the outcome. I would 100% recommend them for weddings/other events.

Perfect wedding day make up team
Rachel and her support stylist Amanda made my wedding morning so calm and relaxed and did such an amazing job. Everyone felt beautiful and the make up and hair lasted all day & night despite being in a heatwave! My make up honestly looked the same at midnight so they really worked some magic. Rachel was fantastic to work with, she was so easy to communicate with and she really listened both during my trial and on my wedding day. Would 100% recommend!

Amazing HMUA!
I don't even know where to begin with writing a review for Rachel & Helen. They are absolute stars.
I felt incredible and so did my bridesmaids, MIL and mum.
The trial reassured me that I had picked the right people for my big day, but they outdid themselves. Even with the 8 people they had to get ready, they remained calm and in control. Even taking time to reassure a nervous bride.
They are so knowledgeable, professional and genuinely lovely women, with a wonderful sister bond.

The Belles of the Ball
Working with both Helen and Rachel was a delight.
It was an easy decision to choose them for both our hair and make up as I really wanted continuity to it. In all the pre-calls and emails, it felt really relaxed and easy. Sending inspiration pictures where we knew some were AI but we worked together to figure out what it was I liked about them and how we could translate that.
The home studio for trials was a winner and the girls were so receptive to feedback that I knew I had the right team.
The morning of our wedding was filled with such calm, ease, laughter and no pressure. Exactly what I needed. Helen and Rachel made me, my bridesmaids and my Mum feel like the best version of ourselves.
I just wish I could do it all over again with these girls.

I had such an amazing experience with Rachel and Dren from Alexander Wedding Belles. They were so calm the morning of and we were really well looked after! Not to mention the makeup and hairstyles they did were all stunning and didn’t budge all night!

Made the morning amazing!
I had my hair and make up done by Rachel. Rachel helped make the morning of the wedding so relaxed! She fit in with the wedding party really well and it was lovely having her as part of the morning. The make up looked flawless and the hair held in place all day and night (even during all day rain and after outdoor photos!) I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Rachel was amazing from start to finish. I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup, so I really didn’t want anything over the top - just something that made me look and feel like the best version of myself. She completely nailed it! I was in love with the finished look and genuinely felt like a million dollars.
Rachel also has such a wonderful energy - she was chatty and fun during my trial, then calm and reassuring on the morning of the wedding, which helped me feel so relaxed and confident. She truly made the whole experience so enjoyable. I can’t recommend Alexander Wedding Belles enough!

Alexandra Wedding Belles- the dream wedding glam team!
Offering hair and make up in one team was such a bonus for me! I was so pleased with the final look and it lasted ALL day. We had a busy morning with 5 Bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride but Helen, Rachel & the team helped made us feel relaxed and everyone looked incredible. Little touches like the lipstick & help with an emergency glam kit just helped make me feel prepared for the day.
