What does the wedding package include?
We offer a comprehensive Video package which coves every moment of your special day perfectly from morning prep through to the evening dances all filmed in a natural and unobtrusive style
How far in advance should I contact you?
We get booked up very quickly, so the sooner you get in touch with us the better so we can answer any questions you have or if you want to book our services
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Can you travel?
Yes, we cover the whole of Scotland
What is the charge for travelling?
Travelling expenses are included in the packages prices, but if we have to travel out with
100 miles (round trip) then a rate of 55p per mile will be charged there after
What kind of technology do you use?
Digital
Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
We are totally natural when filming, and very discreet in capturing every moment of your day perfectly
What kind of equipment do you use?
We use top of the range Sony Professional Video Cameras
DJI Drone and Pocket Cameras
Top Editing suite.
We also provide at an additional cost an audio/video phone box for guests to leave messages
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

Do you charge per hour or per event?

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
Yes
How do you charge extra time?
We don't charge for extra time- unless it is running way behind
For example if a first dance was supposed to be 8pm but didn't take place until 9.15pm - then there would be an extra fee added
What are the forms of payment?
We accept a deposit of £200 for video package and £400 for video and photo packages, which can be paid by Bank Transfer or Credit Card

We work discreetly on the day of a wedding blending into the background, capturing every moment of your wedding day perfectly from start to finish. Please ask for examples of our work

We can’t recommend Derek enough! From the very first conversation, he took the time to really get to know us as a couple and understand what was most important to us for our wedding day. His communication was always clear, friendly, and professional, which made the whole process feel so easy and personal.
On the day itself, Derek blended in so naturally — we hardly noticed he was there, yet he managed to capture every single special moment beautifully. Watching our film back felt like reliving the day all over again — every emotion, every smile, every detail was captured perfectly. His editing style has such a special touch, and you can truly feel the love and joy through his work.

Perfect day
Great professional service. Was not 100% sure that a videographer was needed, saw a great offer that was well within budget and offered so much more. Reviews were good so made contact and booked the full package. Great communication and contact from Derek, further information, face time and help with planning as the big day got closer. Had the best relaxed day, no one giving orders or instructions, just a nice natural and friendly experience. Would highly recommend VIP Weddings Scotland. For price and offers and also the relaxed atmosphere.
Video highlights were quickly sent and full video of the perfect day was available within days. Delighted with the outcome. Thank you for the professionalism shown.

Best decision ever and best day of our lives
So glad that I found Derek. He made our wedding day complete. The packages that he does are so much value for money and both myself and my husband enjoyed having him on our special day.
He put everyone at ease and the preview we got within 24 hours was outstanding. There were tears. He captured everything inc bits we missed and cannot wait to see the full version.

AMAZING! Highly recommend
We met Alejandro and Duncan on the morning of the wedding, and they were just fantastic. At one point, we saw Alejandro hiding in the trees and were amazed by the photos that were produced by this 😍. They were always there capturing every moment, so much so that they cut their break short to film our singing waiters that no one knew about as they were a gift from our MOH. We were then sent another sneak preview of our stills from the day within 24 hours of us being married, highlights the week later then our full wedding video 3 weeks after the wedding. We were so impressed with the quick turnaround and amazing quality of the video.

Amazing from start to finish
We booked Derek to be the videographer for our wedding as a package with our photographer. Derek blended in and most of our guest thought he was a guest also. He made us both feel so at ease and wasn’t noticeable at all. We received our highlights within a couple of days of our wedding and less than 2 weeks later we had the footage to go over for our full wedding video. We look forward to seeing this when our USB arrives in the next week. Thank you so much Derek for capturing the most amazing day of our lives. We would highly recommend your services to anyone. VIP wedding videos were my choice after reading previous reviews for a while before deciding to book with them.. I had lots of correspondence with Derek who fully quelled all my anxieties before the day came.

Derek was fantastic on me & my husbands wedding day, you didn’t even know he was there but he captured all the important parts of our special day. Since booking Derek & Maureen I recommended them to a friend who has booked them for their wedding later in the year as I was very pleased with the information and service I received from making the enquiry to booking for our special day. Derek worked well with my other suppliers which was lovely to see the team work. We had a video call prior to our wedding where Derek answered all my questions and any worries I had for our wedding and he put my mind at ease. Would recommend to a friend 100% and myself and my husband can’t wait to see our wedding video as the highlights blew us away.
