We had the perfect day for our wedding reception, thanks to the brilliant team here!
We had our wedding booked elsewhere, at a venue about 10 minutes from The Village Chester St David's, we had stayed at the hotel during wedding planning and loved it so much we told all of our guests to book their stays here.
Then 3 months before our big day our venue went into liquidation and cancelled our wedding reception, The Village Hotel came to the rescue!
I met with Gemma Holmes the day after the cancellation and she put me at ease immediately. There wasn't a question she couldn't answer, she was professional but so friendly and sympathetic. The Village was going to be a massive change for us and was a completely different type of venue to the one we had booked but Gemma made the whole transition so easy, it's solely down to her that we went ahead and booked the venue for our reception and felt so confident in doing so.
I would also add that I sent A LOT of emails, asking various questions and making suggestions and Gemma responded almost immediately to them all and reassured me every time.
She even left us a small gift in our hotel rooms, just above and beyond from start to finish.
On the day we had Tina to oversee things, she was also fab and so helpful, once again the perfect balance of professional and warm/helpful.
The stars of the show on the day were Molly and Mike. Molly, during the day could not do enough, she checked in with us without overwhelming us, she took every last minute change we made and ran with it. We didn't have to think about a single thing on the day because Molly did all of the thinking for us, all whilst being the most smiley and friendly person ever.
For the evening Mike took over, we'd met him the day before whilst decorating the room and we've never met a more peaceful, happier guy (even whilst working harder than I've ever seen anybody work!). You just can't panic when Mikes around because he's so calm and professional, nothing was too much of an ask for him and he just seemed so genuinely happy to be at work and be a part of our day. Both Molly and Mike are a credit to this venue, the phrase "above and beyond" is so accurate for all of these members of staff and we can't thank them enough!!
The day ran seamlessly, the food was great and every single member of staff we interacted with, from front desk to bar staff were just unbelievably kind to us and so helpful.
We will never be able to thank every single team member at The Village Hotel Chester St David's enough, you didn't only save our wedding but made it better than we could have hoped for!

We got married at St David’s Park Hotel on Saturday 25th October and the day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The food was stunning, everyone complimented on it.

We would like to thank all the staff who made our day as perfect as we could’ve possibly dreamt of.

We were planning just a night do on the package they had, and discussing with the planner decided we would also have a ceremony for our family and friends , it was affordable and the room was dressed wonderfully by the staff.
Throughout the planning process responses were quick and professional, we were allowed to drop things in the day before which made everything much easier for us.
The day off, the staff looking after us were wonderful the food was brilliant and the event rooms were lovely for our evening do. The bar staff were rushed off their feet but were lovely and professional throughout.

All in all, the venue couldn't have made it any easier for us. All our guests had an absolutely wonderful time as did we!
