We had the most incredible experience at Hothorpe Estate — it was everything we could have hoped for and more. The venue is absolutely stunning, with beautiful surroundings and such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Every space, from the ceremony setting to the reception area, felt thoughtfully designed and made our day truly magical.
Alice was exceptional throughout the entire process. From the very beginning of planning, she was attentive, organised, and so kind — ensuring every detail came together perfectly. Her guidance gave us such peace of mind, allowing us to simply enjoy the day knowing everything was in safe hands.
Our guests were blown away by the venue, the flow of the day, and how seamlessly everything ran. We couldn’t be more grateful to Alice and the whole team at Hothorpe for making our wedding day so special.
We’ll cherish the memories of our time there forever and couldn’t recommend Hothorpe Estate highly enough.

The Woodlands is such a serene location to get married. We had our hearts set on using 'The Hideaway' area outdoors for our ceremony, but were blessed with the great British weather and had to get married indoors instead. The staff still really made this feel special for us and the indoor area was just as beautiful. A special shout out to Kim, Carina, and Sophie for the organising before-hand and also running the event on the day. Our day felt so special and I don't think it would've done without you & your team. The food was epic. The 2 main things that our guests commented on was that the venue was amazing and that the food was some of the best they'd had! It was great fun sleeping in a tree house. Having accomodation on site for guests was really handy as many of our guests came from further afield and it was reasonably priced. The topic also got plenty of use with the fire pit and s'mores. Would highly recommend this venue. It's picturesque, the staff are wonderful, and the food is fantastic! -

From start to finish, the team at the Woodlands was fantastic, especially Chloe and Alice our wedding coordinators. Everything was so professional but friendly, nothing was hidden up front so you knew exactly what you were getting and for what we got, the cost was very good. The location too was perfect - we were desperate for a woodland wedding, but also wanted accommodation on site and indoor areas - the teepee was just an added bonus! Not only was the service exceptional, the quality of the food was amazing. We got so many positive comments about the fact we had steak for mains! But every course was truly delicious and all came out perfectly timed and cooked, and as great as the tasting event we went to (which we loved). They were incredibly flexible to our needs even up to the day before, and worked brilliantly with our suppliers. I can't thank the whole team enough for making it an absolutely unforgettable day and I would highly recommend having your wedding (or any event) here! -

We had the most amazing day.
The staff and the food made it even better.
We got lots of comments about how amazing the staff and food were and the venue is just incredible.
Chloe was also amazing we didnt always have Chloe but the transition was so smooth Chloe had great communication.
We 100% recommend this venue. -

Our wedding day
We honestly couldn't have chosen a better venue than The Woodlands for our wedding.
From our very first visit, we knew it was somewhere special, but the team exceeded every expectation we had. Our wedding coordinator, Alice, was absolutely incredible from start to finish. She was organised, calm, reassuring and genuinely cared about making our day everything we had dreamed of. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and knowing she was there meant we could completely relax and enjoy every moment.
While Alice was amazing, every single member of the team deserves recognition. Every person we came across was friendly, professional, attentive and seemed genuinely invested in making our day perfect. You can tell that everyone at The Woodlands takes real pride in what they do, and it shows.
The venue itself is stunning, the food was exceptional, and the attention to detail throughout the entire day was second to none. So many of our guests have commented on how beautiful everything was and how fantastic the staff were.
Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but The Woodlands made the whole experience enjoyable from beginning to end. They didn't just host our wedding—they helped create one of the happiest days of our lives.
To Alice and every member of The Woodlands team, thank you for everything you did for us. We will never forget your kindness, hard work and dedication. If you're looking for the perfect wedding venue with a team that truly cares, we cannot recommend The Woodlands highly enough 💕 -

Our wedding- 12.04.26!
A beautiful venue with exceptional service. Everything was spotless, the food and drinks were excellent and dietary needs were handled perfectly. Our guests also commented on the wonderful rural setting and quality of the food. The staff were friendly and professional and communication with vendors was seamless.
Chloe, our wedding coordinator, was brilliant— she is supportive, easy to talk to and truly listened to what we wanted. She made sure our day ran perfectly.
The Woodlands created a day we will cherish forever and we are very grateful! -

Dan and Mel's wedding
We had a fantastic wedding day at The woodlands at Hothorpe Hall. It's such a beautiful place. Our wedding coordinator Alice was amazing and looked after us every step of the way. Always just an email or phone call away and always happy to help. The food was amazing we had lots of comments on how lovely all the food was and the bar and catering staff were fantastic. We also had some vegans, lactose intolerant and gluten free guest and all was catered for, everything was superb. We honestly couldn't of asked for a better venue. Thank you all so much to all the staff at the woodlands you all did an amazing job and made our day so special. ❤️ -

We loved our wedding at the Woodlands so much, I’m trying to convince my husband to do it all again… Everything was phenomenal - the location, the food, the atmosphere! Joanna our wedding coordinator went above and beyond, everything was thought of and planned for, and it was just easy. The way the Woodlands worked with the other vendors too - we just turned up and wed! Thank you so so much to the Woodlands team for making our day truly exceptional ✨ -
