Beautiful Venue and Excellent Team - Highly Recommend!

We recently held our post-wedding celebration party at the Dukes Head Hotel, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

I mainly communicated with Sharon, the venue coordinator, who did an excellent job responding to my enquiries and confirming all the details. She was professional, friendly and always quick to help, her communication and people skills are fantastic.

Our celebration was for around 40 guests, and the ballroom offered the perfect space. The venue allows for lovely custom decorations, such as fairy lights and additional lighting, which helped create the exact atmosphere we wanted. The location is easy to find, with plenty of nearby parking, and the surrounding area is beautiful.

We had a custom-made buffet menu, while it wasn’t the best food I’ve ever had personally, all of our guests were very happy with it, and the staff ensured the buffet was refilled promptly. Everyone commented on how friendly, approachable and helpful the team was throughout the evening.

We also stayed in the Elizabeth Suite, which was beautiful and comfortable. Both adults and children had an amazing time, and the evening came together perfectly thanks to the combined efforts of the venue team, our decorators, the DJ and our local cake baker.

Wedding Day saved by Dukes Head Hotel

This Hotel helped my new wife and myself have our very Special Day here, after having been let down by Bradleys Restaurant in Kings Lynn going to the wall, and not even advising us of their imminent closure, or return of our deposit cheque. The Manager and all the Staff helped us enjoy our Wedding Reception here on the 28th February 2013, they went out of their way to make our day truly a memorable one, and with special thanks to Hannah Valentine who was our Hostess and Banquting Manageress seeing us through what had been a very upsetting time prior to our Wedding Day. We were offerred the Main Dining Room in the Hotel for our exclusive use, which we took up the Hotel's offer of, and all of our Guests had a beautifully cooked and prepared and presented 4 Course Meal, with all of our drink requirements taken care of. Everyone present are still talking about our day at the Dukes Head, and we have since recommended another Couple who are getting Married, to look at Booking here, for their Wedding. We understand that they have since Booked up to have their Wedding here also. We both would like to commend the Manager and all of the Staff for providing us with a very Professionally presented Event, and one which we shall be eternally grateful. Thank you.

Exceptional Service

Thank you to the Dukes Head for all that you did for our Wedding Day. Everyone provided exceptional service throughout the day to our guests. The staff made our venue very unique, to say the least. We would like to send a special thank you to the events team for all their extra hard work they put in and for being as accomodating as possible. All staff at the Dukes head provided an outstanding service to us and our guests so many thanks

Wedding and overnight stay review:


What can we say, everything was perfect from the start of the wedding planning to the day after the wedding when we came home.
Everything we asked for we got, the service and all staff were brilliant, very friendly and professional.
The food was out of this world, delicious.
The whole hotel is beautiful, the ballroom, the bar, restaurants and the room we stayed in was stunning. Everywhere was very clean and tidy to.
It's in a great central location, but also nice and quiet.
Great value for money.
Would recommend it to anyone, whether you're getting married, having a couple of nights away or just a meal or drink.
5 stars for everything.
