I’ve known About the Columbia hotel From back in the day when it was frequented by musicians. It had a real 1970s shabby chic vibe and decor complete with avocado bathroom.
When it was being refurbished a few years ago, I had the pleasure of being given a guided tour. I loved that it still maintain that similar vibe but of course updated, So when my daughter Hollie & her fiancé Luke were looking for a wedding venue The Columbia hotel instantly came to mind. Especially as they are musicians and have their own quirky style. I knew it would suit them down to the ground. As soon as they saw it and met Sophie they instantly fell in love with it.
Sophie met all their needs and the wedding day was literally the best wedding I’ve ever been to, and not because it was my daughter’s wedding. Every detail and requirement was met and even the weather was perfect for late October. The sun shone for the whole day.
The decour was just as they had envisioned and the food which was buffet style met everyone’s needs & dietary requirement's. Sophie & Josh were very accommodating with everything that Hollie & Luke requested and the whole day & night went like a dream. I’m not exaggerating. It was perfect!
For a hotel in the heart of Bayswater, it was value for money, & while it might not be fancy, smanshy, it had all the grandeur we needed. I’d definitely recommend it as a wedding venue or any other special event.

We had the most incredible experience at the Columbia Hotel for our wedding. We had both the Bayswater Suite and Windsor Suite, and the venue looked absolutely stunning. It was the perfect setting for such a special day, and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful everything was.

A huge thank you to Asia and Sophie, who were both absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process. They were incredibly helpful, approachable and accommodating, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Their support in the lead-up to and around the wedding made such a difference and gave us real peace of mind.

We initially looked at the venue before we were even engaged, and we were shown around by Asia, who took a genuine interest in us and our love story. She was incredibly supportive and played such a vital role both leading up to and on our wedding day. I have never seen anyone work so hard, be so deeply passionate about what they do, or execute a day so flawlessly. She went completely above and beyond, acting as a calm, guiding presence and playing an absolutely pivotal role in ensuring the day was a massive success and everything we dreamed of. We are so incredibly grateful to her and the entire team for all of their efforts.

As a Grade II listed building, the spaces are beautifully maintained, offering a breathtaking and character-rich backdrop that feels both grand and intimate. The attention to detail throughout the property made our day so special. Furthermore, the team's hands-on support with setting up and taking down was amazing, which we deeply appreciated since we opted to provide our own decorations. They made the entire logistics process seamless and stress-free.

Being able to bring our own vendors (for an African Wedding) at no extra cost gave us the flexibility to bring our exact vision to life while making great savings, a rare find for such a premier spot, especially considering that a central London location can be extraordinarily expensive. The price of the venue and their impeccable services was worth every single penny.

Having a summer wedding at this location was gorgeous, elegant, and completely timeless. We have received nothing but glowing, positive feedback from all of our guests, who were absolutely captivated by the stunning architecture, the seamless flow of the spaces, and the venue as a whole. We look forward to seeing how our wedding pictures turn out, but most importantly, we can't wait to visit again to say a proper thank you to Asia. We truly would not have been able to have such a magical, perfect day without her.

As the cousin of the groom, I had the joy of capturing the wedding, and I can’t praise Asia enough for making it all so special. From the moment she introduced us to the venue, we fell in love, not just with the space, but with the care and attention Asia gave. She answered every question, guided us smoothly through planning, and on the big day, she made sure everything flowed perfectly. Our whole family felt supported, comfortable, and truly cared for. It’s clear that people like Asia make a venue shine. I wouldn’t hesitate to return for more events, this place will always hold a special place in my heart!

We had our wedding at this beautiful classic hotel in Colombia, and it was everything we hoped for. The venue has a timeless feel, with elegant high ceilings that make the spaces feel airy, special, and perfect for photos.

The event space was fantastic and worked really smoothly for both the ceremony and the celebration. Just as importantly, the staff were genuinely accommodating throughout, helpful, calm, and clearly experienced with events. They made it easy to focus on the day and enjoy it.

We left with great memories and a lot of gratitude. We would absolutely choose this venue again and would happily hire them for future events

We couldn't have had a better experience with the Columbia, from our first meeting a year before our wedding, to our final correspondences in the weeks after. At every point along the way Sophie and her team were thoughtful, supportive and most of all, collaborative! They were very clear about what they could do and always open minded about solutions for what they couldn't, working with us to build a unique event that we can safely say was the happiest day of our lives.

Our guests loved the decor, the rooms, the grazing table, the drinks, the late night bites, the balconies, the views, the bars and the music. The location was ideal for guests coming from London, and the hotel rooms (and breakfast buffet) were excellent (and affordable!) for those coming from further afield. We all now have amazing memories of the Columbia we'll share forever.

All in all, we couldn't recommend it more highly as the perfect venue for your perfect day.

I held my wedding at The Columbia in May and it couldn't have been dreamier. The staff, the venue, the vibe - EVERYTHING! It was simply amazing and I couldn't recommend it enough there.

Our guests were all amazed by the gorgeous spaces, and the balcony was such a bonus, particularly as the sun was shining!

Lots of our family and friends booked rooms overnight and we even enjoyed a gorgeous afternoon in Kensington Gardens the following day. The location is absolutely IDEAL!

Couldn't be happier to have hosted here, and can't wait to come back for anniversaries, birthdays and the rest!!!

Your venue was much admired by our guests for many obvious reasons. The high ceilings , the cornicing, the overall feeling of space.

On such a balmy evening everybody praised the balcony space, and it was great for the vapers and smokers too !

The food and drink were outstanding and our guests just soaked up the happy atmosphere

Harrison’s circular bar, their smooth service and delicious mocktails and Jenny’s mouthwatering canapés and super friendly and efficient service were all amazing.

We had nothing but a completely enjoyable experience working with the Columbia to create a wedding that was entirely tailored to our needs. Sophie and Josh were a pleasure to work with and were completely amenable to any changes or developments we had with our plans. We absolutely loved the food and cocktails (as did all our guests) and the venue was perfect in every way. The bedrooms were perfect for us too, with so much room to spread out and get ready. All of our guests said how affordable it was to stay, whilst being right next to Hyde park! If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing!

Where do I start, the venue itself is such a hidden gem, I was in awe when I saw it in person and I knew right away it would work for me. You can easily add your tough to the venue as the staff are super flexible and open to ideas. They worked with me throughout my 6 months of planning, listening to my ideas and giving suggestions to make everything more seamless. Big shoutout to Sophie and Lucy who went above and beyond.
For anyone considering this venue I say go for it!! It's got stunning views and in central London, can't get better than this!!
