We first visited Slapton Manor on a cold and wet February morning, but in spite of this we soon realised it was the venue for us! The farm is beautiful - we used the barn for the ceremony and it was perfect, and the marquee for the evening was stunning, with a beautiful backdrop of open fields and grazing sheep. It provided the exact relaxed and fun vibe we were looking for. There’s also so many great places to sneak away for some quiet moments on the day - and they’re perfect to get some stunning photos!

Initially one of the things that drew us to Slapton was the freedom to decorate the venue as we wanted and the ability to tailor the day to our specific plan. Having access a few days prior to the wedding was a massive advantage for setup, giving us time to get everything right and enjoy the setup time with our closest friends and family. The availability of on-site accommodation, for us and the wedding party, made on the day logistics so much easier, as well as creating an amazing atmosphere for the day (and the whole weekend for that matter!). We loved being able to wake up on site in the morning and have a leisurely start to our wedding.

We also really appreciated the transparency regarding pricing - there were no hidden costs or last-minute surprises, which was a huge relief as we’d heard a number of horror stories from friends at other venues. They even had a number of wedding props we could use at no extra cost - something we didn’t encounter at any other venue we viewed where there seemed to be an additional charge for everything!

While we were initially a little concerned about planning a "blank canvas" wedding in just six months, Sam made the entire process remarkably easy. She was incredibly helpful, always responding quickly to our queries and offered honest advice on what had worked well at the venue in the past. We had a bit of a non-traditional order to our day, which Sam was key in helping us to plan and get right.

Sam was truly integral in making our whole wedding experience a fantastic one, from planning to the day itself, and we cannot thank her enough for this. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she worked tirelessly to help ensure our perfect day. Everything ran so smoothly on the day itself, and the entire team was efficient, friendly, and helpful. We felt completely at ease knowing Sam had everything under control, allowing us to simply enjoy our day. We cannot speak highly enough of Sam and the Team - you will be in safe hands at Slapton Manor!

From the moment we first visited Slapton Manor, we knew it was the one. We wanted a venue that gave us the freedom to make the space completely our own, rather than feeling like we were on a conveyor belt of weddings, and Slapton delivers exactly that. One of the absolute best things about the venue is having access for several days before your wedding. It gave us so much time to set up all our details exactly how we wanted them, without rushing, and it made our whole wedding week feel so relaxed and stress free. By the time the day itself arrived, we could just enjoy it, knowing everything was already in place.
The farm itself quickly felt like home for the weekend. Being able to stay the night before with friends and family was so special, and waking up on site on the morning of the wedding made getting ready an absolute breeze. The on-site accommodation is fantastic, and having everyone together under one roof made the celebrations even more memorable.
From day one, Sam and the team were amazing. They went above and beyond to help us bring our dream day to life, offering advice, support, and reassurance throughout. Even when the weather didn’t quite go our way, Sam immediately put us at ease with back-up plans ready, so we never had to worry.
Our wedding day was everything we had hoped for and more - it felt completely “us,” and Slapton Manor truly became our home for the weekend. We can’t recommend this venue and team enough if you’re looking for a relaxed, authentic wedding that you can make entirely your own.

Absolutely fantastic place. All family working farm. . Sam and family were so accommodating for every special moment of my daughter and son inlaws special day. Whole venue was amazing! Location, venue , staff , rooms, and value, Sam was so helpful from the build up to the day, during the day and the day after i honestly dont know how she does it all. would highly recommend to anyone and everyone.
