About
Nestled within a working family farm and framed by rolling countryside and open skies, Slapton Manor offers a space where rural life and joyful celebrations blend effortlessly. The farm is more than scenery — it brings a genuine sense of space, calm, and character to every moment of your day..
Family-run and full of character, we offer relaxed, personal weddings with a naturally rustic feel. Because we host only a limited number of weddings each year, you’ll have the time, space, and freedom to create something that feels completely your own. With access in the days before your celebration, you can settle in, decorate at your own pace, and truly make the place yours. For a few special days, the farm becomes your home.
At the centre of it all stands our 12th-century Manor House, surrounded by working farmland that gives a real sense of escape. You can say your vows in the atmospheric 18th-century Threshing Barn with its exposed wooden beams, in the beautiful 12th-century Church of St Botolph — known for its remarkable medieval wall paintings — or outside in the fresh country air, with the landscape as your backdrop.
Once the ceremony is over, the celebrations flow naturally. Enjoy drinks in the Fold Yard, soak up the views across the farm, then gather in our relaxed marquee for delicious food, heartfelt speeches, and dancing long into the evening. There’s plenty of space for lively partygoers and quiet catch-ups alike — all set against the charm of an authentic farm setting.
When it’s time to rest, you don’t have to leave the magic behind. We offer 6–8 on-site accommodation studios, glamping under the stars, and space for tents, caravans, and campervans if you and your guests want the full countryside experience. There’s also plenty of local accommodation nearby.
Being a working farm means warmth, authenticity, and a connection to the land — and that spirit runs through every wedding we host. We don’t offer fixed packages because no two couples are the same. You’re free to choose your own suppliers (with the exception of beverages), and our friendly team is always on hand to help with ideas, planning, and recommendations.
At Slapton Manor, it’s simple: real countryside, real character, and a space that’s exclusively yours — a celebration rooted in the heart of a working family farm.
