Thanks so much for checking out our venue. Although we are new to Hitched.com we have had the pleasure of hosting many wedding receptions after registry office ceremonies, which is only a stones throw away for our historic and beautiful venue.

Stunning town centre pub dating back to early 1700's has since changed hands many times before finding its way to McManus Pubs, a Northamptonshire family-sun pub company. A full refurbishment in 2021 meant the pub has reopened as a cosy pub, with modern facilities with many restored features of the original building. The Shipmans is just off of the market square and around the corner from The Guildhall meaning after your registry office ceremony you can pop around the corner to hire the full venue to yourselves.

Wedding is something we are very well versed in, having successfully delivered plenty, and something that means a lot to us. We have so many different things we can offer to your special day such as unique photo opportunities, open cocktail bar, "from scratch" menu designed specifically to your tastes and much more. The Shipmans is suited to all different wedding types from intimate to large.
