Gorgeous venue

We dealt with Amelia and Ros at York House and both were so kind and helpful from our first call and viewing up to the day of the wedding! Everything was perfectly planned by Amelia, and Ros was so calm and patient on the day. He runs the wedding day so smoothly but was so helpful in adapting when we got some unforeseen rain! The venue is gorgeous and we were so happy we chose to book the Salon for the ceremony and the winter garden for a drinks reception. With slightly different vibes it meant we could give a change of scenery and got some great photos from it! The grounds are gorgeous for photos too!

Winter Wedding

We had the most gorgeous day at York House!
In the build up, everyone was polite and helpful, answering questions and nudging us for anything outstanding. We had a small administrative hurdle while trying to fill in our online ceremony form, but once we raised it with the team they helped us solve it quickly.

The day went so smoothly and Ros was friendly, efficient and helped us have the exact day arrival that we'd planned, while not rushing us out and allowing us the time and space to get some gorgeous photos

Dream December Wedding!

We got married at York House on 20 December 2025 and it was perfect from start to finish. The entire experience exceeded our expectations.

Amelia was fantastic throughout the planning and organising process. She was professional, attentive, and supportive, which made everything feel completely stress-free. On the day itself, Ray ensured everything ran seamlessly and was an absolute pleasure to have around; nothing was too much trouble and his calm, friendly presence really stood out.

Our ceremony in the Salon was amazing, and the Winter Garden was the ideal setting for drinks and canapés, especially for a December wedding. The gardens are a beautiful backdrop for photos.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to get married and would wholeheartedly recommend York House to anyone considering it.

Pure joy and magic

We had a great time getting married at York House.
They were professional but full of love, and they make us feel special and gave us the chance to have the legal wedding we wanted.
Our officiant was the loveliest woman and she went beyond her reach to make the ceremony full of magic and love.

And on top of that the gardens are just amazingly beautiful!

Just as we planned…..magical

Right from the start the “Halls team” showed support, professionalism & reassurance. Our day was planned with fairly short notice, a few weeks only, but our need for a quiet, understated & individual ceremony was truly met. The Winter Garden is a beautifully serene space, ideal for larger groups, or, as in our case, the two of us & our two friends as witnesses. Amelia & Lara & the Registrars helped to make it the PERFECT day for us……we wouldn’t have changed a thing!

Beautiful, romantic venue

We booked the Winter Garden room at York House for our ceremony, and it was absolutely perfect. Amelia and Ros took great care of us in all the booking and preparation beforehand, answering all of our questions, and then on the day itself making sure things went very smoothly. They are very experienced and made some great suggestions, which gave us 100% confidence. The house and the gardens are completely stunning, we can't wait to see our professional photos. The venue is easy to get to, and we booked an additional hour of room hire to have a small lunch. It was everything we wanted, we would definitely recommend!!

Great venue

We had a wonderful wedding at York house. We had canapés in the Wintergarden room, our meal in the Salon and dancing in the winter garden. Both were fabulous venues and we had the use of the terrace. Everyone was so impressed with how beautiful the rooms were and we didn’t need to spend much to decorate them (a few simple table decorations was all that was needed). The team was great and couldn’t do more to help us before hand and on the day. They had to rearrange both rooms and did that quickly and efficiently. Thanks to Lara and Ricky for everything.

Loggia Room was perfect!

From our first viewing of the Loggia Room, everyone was so helpful and friendly. The gardens are perfect for some lovely photos and we had the perfect day!

Perfect day in the winter room, for a summer wedding!

Teddy was fantastic! From the planning stage to the big day, he was so helpful, and attentive. He made sure everything ran smoothly while letting the ceremony feel natural. The day couldn’t have gone any better and we are grateful for all of Teddy’s help!
